  • KEF, I share your problems, my pond has overflowed and my lawn is a bog, got very intimate with my plants today and checked every single one for root penetration and rotting. Have to say my penstemon 'huskers red', seem to have rotted away, which it had feared. Oh well, bought a new packet today anyway. Also bought 7 nerine bulbs for a fiver, thanking my friend lots for letting me use her staff discount image

Gardengirl, you got all that lot for £5, or was it just the daffs?

Here we haven't had one speck of blue sunshine whatsoever! All you guys that have, you blooming lucky,it seems to have been grey here non stop since Xmas!

  • Gg I have my first flower of the year.... a miniature Iris.

  • Thanks Verd... we need it... glug, glug, glug..........

It's soggy out there. For the first time ever I have a clump of snowdrops gone mouldy.

It was only the big 12kg bag of daffs for a fiver, but couldn't resist as they were down from £19.99!

    Woody - wow - a flower already.

Forgot to say I got a doughnut at the GC.  One for the birds that is,  Fat balls to go in it as well.

I read somewhere else today that someone was planting bulbs tomorrow (Busy Lizzie I think) and then the above post by garden girl, I've just had a look and found a thread from last year which discussed late planting of daffs. Having just found a bag that I somehow managed to forget about (I think I was more concerned with my tulips and narcissi at the time) I am definitely going to find time tomorrow to plant them, even if I get 25 out of the 50 it will be a bonus as I bought them late and cheap too. Loving the tips on here!!!

    Good Morning all.

It rained that heavily in the night that it woke me, and that takes some doing. Currently not raining.

How bad is it that all I can think to talk about is the blinking rain? image

    Off to get more tea.
