    Wintersong, I see you're joining the top down brigade. Dont forget either the sunhat or factor 50  for any exposed bits.

    My overwintered cannas are doing very poor. Only one has a leaf so far.

    However, the banana I bought for a fiver last september, survived the winter,got potted on, and is doing very well, even if it's not as big as Montys.

    OH bought cannas and bananas last year - they seem to have survived the winter in our unheated GH.  But only just producing leaves yet ....nowhere near flowers.  Seems like a bit of a faff keep bringing them in and out - but they are his babies, so he gets to look after themimage

    Got my penstemon planted out.  Went to do my gaura and found several of last years have survived after all....so will have a forest this yearimage.
