I think we will have to have a chatsworth visit. The bluebells will still be out and the rhodos and azaleas........but not this weekend, it will be heaving.

Blue sky here. Coffee then planting i think.

Oooh KEF!  Good luck with that! ((hugs))

Fidget, a Chatsworth visit would be great - it's years and years since I've been, but hadn't we better wait until they've put it back together?

Morning all! Hope all soggy patches dry out soon! Like you Dove, we have a downpour predicted this afternoon, so getting out there early!

Pallet deconstruction and reconstruction into something else today, tomorrow dad brings his power tools! Its OK I'm a qualified first aider image hope everyone has a lovely day! And yes Dove, think its about 30 years since we went to Chatsworth, and seem to remember more time in the house than garden, perhaps cuz of weather? Defiantly time for another is it tho image

    Good morning Wonky!

I've got a photo of you, your brother and Boss the lab standing under some Rheum palmatum leaves at the foot of a rocky cliff face.  Must get a new scanner-printer for this laptop, then I can post  the photo on here image

The top bit at Chatsworth with the woodland, stream, rhodos and azaleas, candelabra primulas, and usually some blue poppies won't have been touched. The stones came from the adjoining moorland, not the actual garden. I love it at this time of year, with the freshness before the hordes trample it down.

I remember Chatsworth house vividly FB, not sure if its from seeing it so often on the antiques roadshow or not, but I don't remember the gardens, just the bit of grounds near the house. Though I was probably not much more than 10 years old! Would love to see it again now but can't see it being Hubby's cup of tea! image maybe if there's a DJ convention nearby? Or I could leave him at home with a post-it on his dinner?image
