I hope no one feels excluded from this forum because politics are discussed. Just post what you feel comfortable with, you don't have to join in with political and emotional stuff. This forum is for everyone who would like to be here.

I feel sad about the migrants and we (Church of England in SW France) are collecting for Les Restos du Coeur to provide meals and baby items for the people who can't afford to make ends meet here in France. Unfortunately, the world is not an easy place for many, often because of human failings such as war and intolerant religions.

I'm almost ready to go on holiday tomorrow, have packed. Gardener's World on shortly.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Good luck Tootles, look forward to all the pics.

Have a lovely holiday Busy Liz, hope the weather is kind to you.

I agree BL, we're not obliged to add a comment about anything. I'm not really a "pet" person, so I don't join in with those threads, but I have no objection to others chatting about it.

It doesn't mean I don't have the common compassion to appreciate that others feel very attached to their pets.

  • Enjoy your holiday, Lizzie.....as it happens my daughter & SiL are leaving in the small hours of tomorrow morning to visit France.

This will be predominantly a fly/drive holiday, taking in St Cirg Lapopie (nr Cahors), Agen and Carcassonne amongst others.

Apols if I've spelt them wrong.

  • Evening all!

Hope I'm not too late to wish Busy Lizzie and Fairygirl happy holidays x

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Thank you Liri - and everyone else.    Hope you have a lovely time too BL.    image

I've bought food, ironed, packed, had dinner (made by daughter because I also shortened her two pairs of new jeans! )  made cakes and washed up. I've watched Bake Off extra slice while putting my feet up with a cuppa and I'm now going to bed.

See you in the morning image

Morning all.  I enjoyed my Pavarotti concert last night. It was in a lovely old theatre in Barcelona.  Don't know the date as the stupid TV station cut it off the credits.  Anyway, it was wonderful and a nice way to end the day .

    sunny here today.image
