2.4C out there last night, wet and windy.  It would be nice to see the sun coming up to see the difference in light without the tree - but I don't think the sun's going to be noticeable this morning image

Morning Dove. I'm looking forward to hearing how you feel about your new cleared space and how your wildlife adjusts. Hope your day isn't too cold.

Ive been out a bit today in the garden and while it was sunny, there was a breeze from the south which had us wearing slightly more clothes than the last two days.

    it's very hard to adjust.image

At the moment the plan is to move the compost bins into that corner, and then plant a tree and some shrubby undergrowth sort of stuff where the bins were, and then a big sunny bed in the area that used to be so dry that nothing grew.  image

Sounds good. I assume you're keeping a photo record of each stage. Should make an interesting history of your garden.

Ive  dragged out a DVD that I've had for years and I have really enjoyed it this afternoon. It's Julian Bream's "Guitar in Spain" production  We actually attended one of his performances years ago in Canberra, so it was really good to hear it again, image

  • That sounds lovely Pat - I love the classical guitar - I used to work for an Early Music Centre and live music was always being somewhere in the building while I was working.  It was a lovely place to be.

    Morning / evening all.

OH just got called into work - going away now - not back till late tomorrow night image

Got up to make us both tea and it's dark, cold & doing a sleety / rainy thing out there. Brrr - snuggled back under the duvet with my tea now.

Glad I did a lot of work in the garden yesterday - looks much tidier & today I can light the fire & sit & do indoor stuff with a clear conscience.

    Enjoy the weekend folks image

Hosta, you've got to train yourself to nod off again. I do it all the time after HRH has woken us up. Somehow, the second sleep seems better!

Topbird, I don't envy you having to do that so early. Enjoy your snuggle down,

Verdun, it's not like you at all to admit to poor weather. Are you quite well?image
