Last night's Turkish meal was yummy but such a lot I couldn't finish my main course, lamb, and they wrapped up my Halva to take away. My brother, sister and BIL managed to finish all theirs! OH didn't have pud. It was good to see them, but now we are going to Norfolk we'll see less of them. But my sister often goes to Norfolk on holiday, the Broads this year.
More packing today.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Sorry Lizzie, I didnt mean to sound abrupt. We're watching a show where they are trying to find Jesus's foreskin. (Called the holy relic). On National Geochannel. Fascinating.
Glad you like the (paratroopers) name Dove ha ha : ).
Pat I'm hoping for at least one dry day this week to start gardening again, can't believe it's been raining since October, but if it has been a dry day I've been stuck in work, thanks for the cookies : )
Yes Flumpy, that's par for the course. In Darwin, there was usually a heavy rain event in the afternoon (in the wet season) just at knock off time. It almost never failed to drench us, and in the tropics, you don't bother to wear a rain coat because you sweat too much,
Has Verdun made an appearance yet today? Hope he's not been washed away! Just heard the R2 Travel Report - apparently Cornwall is underwater - road impassable at Trago Mills (I'm sure whatsisname will find a way to blame the tax man for that) and chaos at Penzance!!!
Ah, it looks as if they're ok
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
We think we saw the end of the program but Hubby said to tell you that he thinks it was cut short - they claim it is in a place in France starting with "c" but can't remember the name.

Morning all. Thanks Pat. What are craisins?

Cranberry raisins. Rather nice.

What I should explain, is that much of the language is Italian and I need to read subtitles.

Hideous out there. Gale force winds and chucking it down. Conservatory is now doing its impression of a sieve.
Pat I remember reading somewhere there are 6 churches which claim to have Jesus' foreskin, so at least 5 of them are wrong.
