It's worse than that KEF - I'm collecting my daughter from Uni to take her somewhere, which means I have to go into Glasgow....would rather pull my liver out with a rusty hook than drive in there...
You won't desert us now you have new friends, will you chick?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I've driven through Glasgow twice, both times during rush-hour - on the way to Skye and on the way back - having picked a hire car up from Glasgow airport we stayed with friends who lived in a flat in one of those lovely red sandstone buildings close to lots of brilliant Indian restaurants and very close to an arboretum - can't remember the name of the road now and the friends have moved to Bearsden.
It was in the days before Sat nav, and as OH doesn't drive he was navigating - and he wasn't very practised at that either in those days - amazingly enough we got to the very next road before we had to stop and phone friends for directions - I'm still quite proud of that
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all, I regularly drive through Glagow on the M8, on the way to the Northwest. Once through Glasgow and onto the Erskine bridge I feel the holiday has started.
Cold and grey here, done the supermarket. Might sow some seeds later.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I'm going the opposite way doc - would much rather be heading to Loch Lomond and beyond!
Was it Great Western Road/Byres Road or near there Dove? The Botanic Gardens are just off that. That's very much the 'posh' West End of Glasgow, but near Glasgow Uni etc. so full of students too! My daughter's at Strathclyde at the 'not quite so posh' East/Royal Infirmary end...
2nd wash nearly ready

Bucketing down with rain at present - winds haven't arrived but are expected - from Cornwall Verdun!! - We also have snow forecast for later
Been swimming, and now feeling very achey, but I do enjoy it. I have the lessons for health - run by local health centre - every now and again they check BP etc and mine is now normal.
Seed sowing today I think - thunbergia and marigolds. Never grown thunbergia before.
Also have to have an x-ray on my wrist, but not too worried by that.

I've found my old address book Fg, it was just off Kelvinside Gardens, just over the bridge by the Botanic Gardens - they took us to an absolutely fabulous Indian restaurant, think it was on Byres Road or just off it.

Yes - you'd have have been on Gt Western Rd - and lots of Indian restaurants around there Dove. There's also a very famous Glasgow eaterie called The Ubiquitous Chip in Ashton Lane off Byres Rd.I don't frequent the West End at all nowadays but if you're ever venturing back this way you might want to check it out.
Anyway - off to collect daughter now. No posh eating though- she might get a sandwich somewhere if she's lucky ...

Thankfully our Cornish winds have died down for the moment and even got blue skies.
I was just returning from a dog walk when a massive branch fell down in my son's garden next door. He has workmen in and it just missed one of their cars.
Sadly a body was found in the sea on Tuesday on our local beach. The police can't identfy him although a jacket was found nearby with a photo of a boy in the pocket dated 1952. Tragic that no-one has reported him missing.
