A burger Verd? image Wot - no doughnuts? image

Feeling very idle today. I've done some cleaning and I've done some 'perusing' of clematis online as the nursery didn't have an early white which I'd like to accompany Constance in the early spring. It's a tough job but someone has to do it image

Lesley, might get ear plugs of some sort or perhaps a music thingy with headphones. OH told her to go and hide earlier and he'd come and find her. Lol.

Did hear one of the neighbours tell her to 'shut up for goodness sake'  worked for awhile but she's screaming again. Wouldn't mind if it was a general playing in the garden but she just runs round and screams like she's being attacked. Last year she did hurt herself, but noone took any notice because she always makes a din.image

Kef i'll be down next weekend too, i'll order my bacon buttie now pleaseimage

As well as cutting both the lawns, the front border has been hoed and weeded, some more hellebore babies from 'Tutu' have been potted up and pots of expiring tulips have been put out of site behind the raised bed.  OH has swept, hosed and scrubbed the terrace and I've sloshed about in the pond removing blanket weed - a frog looked a bit bemused but stayed where he was.

Now my feet are up and I'm having some lovely local Binham Blue cheese with the last of the crusty boule I bought from Southwold the other day.

After lunch I've some aquilegias and delphiniums to find space for in the front border - hopefully the rain that's forecast for tomorrow will water them in well.

After that I'll put a lemon and tarragon chicken in to roast.  We'll have that with new potatoes (Majorcan) and some braised lettuce and peas.  It all sounds very French - shame the sky's clouding over - it doesn't look as if supper on the terrace is on the cards.

Perhaps froggy thought you were just a large frog Dove...imageimage

My grass could do with a little trim but not much chance of that today - or for the next few days either judging by the forecast I just looked at - it had lightning for Wednesday. Hope that changes image

Know exactly what you mean lily, but it's every shade of wrong that you should have to wander about with an I pod because of other people's inconsiderate behaviour. Someone suggested the same thing to me but it's ridiculous isn't it? Couldn't garden with one on anyway - I'd get tangled up in the wires image

Try the hose over the fence lily. You could say it was an accidentimage

Have just got in from the garden, rather grey here but not cold.  Have planted up the pots in the back garden, just have the front and the baskets to do now but they may have to wait until Wednesday when I get back from Firstborns. There's quite a few weeds so I will have to have a go at those too.

The greenhouse is emptying slowly but I still have Cosmos Daydream, Clary, Didiscus and loads of Petunia Daddy F1 and trailing geraniums to find homes for.  The garden is really full so not sure where they will go.  Thank the Lord I only have a tiny greenhouse.

More plants have been planted and seeds sown including Sunflower 'Vanilla Ice' which I've direct sown between the grapevine and the herb garden.  They should grow to about 5 ft, are multi-headed, prolific and good for cutting image

Ive watered in everything that I've planted and the terrace is clean and tidy - OH have just spent half an hour sitting out there watching the birds feeding and bathing, but I'm getting dozy - do you think it could be the Pernod? image

I'd better perk up soon - there's a chicken to get in the oven ........... image

Hope the weather's being kind to BL - it's been lovely here image
