Next we went on to a 'Hen Party' at sisters. image She now is a very proud mummy of six. image They cluck along nicely and eat her out of plant and seed! image A good few egg based offerings and a few samples of poultry free alcohol to boot. image

A late "Hello" to everyone!  image

Read back and I reckon almost all of us have had a wet afternoon.  Still raining here but they're promising warmer and drier for tomorrow afternoon - a useful "window" for gardening, I think.

Went to another model railway exhibition with OH today.  Quite fun to see what can be achieved, by people with more skill & patience than I have image

Hope Dove is back to normal now...

Re memory foam mattress: I find them initially comfortable, and it's good not to be woken by OH moving about (there's less transfer of movement through the mattress).  BUT I can't turn over at night without waking up first, because of sinking in.  Memory foam pillow is good though.  image

Just heard from my daughter and family in Ireland that they've had an offer accepted on a little bungalow, on nearly three quarters of an acre of farmland.  Needs work but property is really cheap there at the moment.  They (and we!) are very excited, especially at the thought of such a big garden - they want to grow as much fruit and veg as possible.  Anyone know anything about gardening in Galway?

Liri - daughters new house - in the loft they found a model railway layout - well track was there with the trestles for it. Her OH and my OH were very excited (we have a work in progress one in our loft)

Still hardely any rain here, just wish it would arrive

Good morning all image  it's been raining here but we need more - the pond level is very low.  Did I tell you we're awaiting the arrival of some pond snails to eat the blanket weed?  More pets! image Oh, the responsibility!!!  And I've discovered that robins don't understand about Sunday morning lie-ins image  On the plus side our robins will now take food from OH's hand as well as from me image

Didn't we have a couple of forum members in Ireland?  Where've they gone image

Hosta, have a lovely holiday image

We had planned a visit to Chatsworth, but I've just looked at the website! Not sure I can justify £20 a ticket.

That'd buy a lot of beer. image

Free parking if you book online Hosta, and much cheaper if you only get garden tickets ...... do you really want to see lots of furniture when there's acres of gardens? image

  • Thanks again Dovefromabove for your reply to my post. Sorry about the abrupt end to my reply but I'm reading the posts with my tea in bed and my huge boxer/German shepherd has just decided to come up and say good morning. Leapt on the bed and tea and dog went all over the I pad. It's still all workin though(and so is the I pad). I think I'll pile all the muck in a corner and leave it a few years and use something else. Thanks again have a good day
