Is it just me, or does anyone else hate mowing the lawn.

Just spent 2.5 hours of my life following the lawn mower round, looking at all the other jobs that needed doing and that I would much rather do.

But that gave you the chance to notice all those other jobs that need doing, admire your beds and borders, and feel virtuous and consequently deserving of a reward

    Hello

I thought I should mention that BusyL is coming to stay for a few days but she beat me to it. Really looking forward to seeing her again.

I have gone in medical speak from 'uncertain' I will be able to fly to France to 'maybe' I will be able to, so fingers crossed all for tuesday

Today I have left annuals in GH - very cool here and don't want to lose them.

No shopping from now on as  saving pennies for a trip to GC with BusyL and the Malvern Show.

I do need to buy some basket plants I have some but need some trailing and a stand out one, unsure whether to go for white or deep blue (if there is such a thing)

We went to the Wok place for lunch but all the local supermarkets are shut - bank holiday. We'd forgotten. The GC had a sign saying it was open at 2.30 on bank holidays and several cars were waiting in the car park, but at 2.40 everyone gave up and drove off, not a sign of opening.

Matty, it's Saturday next week you are flying to France with me, or do you mean the doc will give an answer on Tuesday?

Do you mean Standing Order Dove? It's a misconception that Direct Debts are a fixed amount when you actually agree to let them charge you any amount. Of course it's good business not to stun, shock or general cause your customers fainting fits image

What a lovely Lobelia BM! Wish I had seen that before I sowed mine although I'm not sure I sowed trailing...I might have mistakenly done the other kind image

Resting now...in front of my PC but not before sorting out my stone pot with the Pieris innit...yesterday I moved the pot with plant to the back of the border but when I emptied it earlier, I not only discovered nothing wrong with the compost but the drainage problem was due to a tiny weeny hole in the bottom, so I have used several inches of grit to give better drainage but then I had to manoeuvre the really heavy solid pot onto a stone slab to keep border soil from blocking the tiny hole...do I get a meddle for not stepping on any of my recent planting as well as getting the spirit level out!!! Go me image

Envious of all these garden centre visits! Don't drive, learning late and hubby being a computer geek isn't all that interested in all things green image have to wait for mummy dearest to pop over and we can take a secret trip out image hint Dove! image

Curry goat cooking slowly, just had my friend over with his five year old boy 'helping' me in the garden! Why do I never learn?!image yuk other people's children...lovely from a distance....in your garden....not so much...now to clear up the damage!

Beaus, nostalgia garden is basically plants I remember from gardens in my childhood....my grandparents (Doves parents), first home when I was seven, just plants that take me on a trip down memory lane image I'm a country girl that has to live in ipswich presently but nostalgia garden helps until I get back out there image
