That photo of the young man reminds me of a singing contestant we had here last year on one of those shows. He was a very good singer as well as darkly handsome. Can't think of his name, now.
Sorry to hear about your shingles RB hope you recover soon.
Hope OH is feeling better Pat.
Glad you are all safe Chicky.
It's been very hot and sticky today and we have had a couple of spectacular storms with heavy rain (just after I had watered the garden). Luckily I had managed to do a fair bit of deadheading and tidying before the storms.
Hello from stormy W.Yorks! Visitors left before the heavens opened - hope they've got back to York without incident.
Chicky, so glad you're ok. Brings you up short though...
Runnybeak, hope you're responding to the anti-virals and soon feel better. Re Timothy West and Pru: I wonder if he's trying to protect her from trying things she can no longer manage? She has Alzheimers and may not be able to steer a boat any more. Just a thought.
Pat, the young man in SGL's picture is Aidan Turner, who caused a bit of a stir among a lot of the women on this forum earlier in the year, when he starred in a TV adaptation of the Poldark novels. There's going to be another series so you might well see more photos before long... ...don't know if he can sing though!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
hubby feeling marginally better this morning, thanks Yvie.
Isn't that always the way that it rains after you've watered? Happens here too. After my effort yesterday, we have just started to get misty rain. I'll take it any time over dry days.
on the plus side, my Garmin wrist thingie, advised I'd managed 7000 steps yesterday and i didn't get a nasty red line reminder to move, like I usually do when I sit for a long time.
