Major sleep in this morning image OH says its because I'm busy everyday, I guess he's rightimage

Still contemplating my last border to plant...it's in the purple and white garden so it's important to get the balance right between the colours which can include pinks and blues (so not that exclusiveimage), but also how much will they be shaded by my growing sambucus. it's a baby at the moment but this will be it's third year. I guess the answer is to plant and see...there's always next year to move stuff image

    Good morning all image

I've been out and filled the coffee lid with mealworms for the robins, and given a few pots a soaking - now my feet are up and I'm drinking coffee in my pjs - it was overcast earlier but the sun's burnt the cloud off now and it looks like we've got another lovely day in store.

'They' are saying we'll get some rain at the weekend - I hope so 'cos I've got to treat the front lawn with Evergreen whatsit to kill off the dandelions so they stop spreading seeds towards the neighbour's garden every time we're away for a few days, and the treatment will need watering in.

    Morning all.

Wall to wall sunshine again, this really is fantastic weather, things seem to be growing as I look at them.

Today must be a day of action, rather than observing.

    Morning all.

    To-day is Mulching Day.

OH finished weeding the 3 beds by the terrace yesterday ( he says he's enjoyed it!!!) so I had a sprinkler on it last night and to-day it's compost time.

Clari, good luck with the knee. I'm still seeing Physio and still not back to driving duties at work.

    Morning all,

    Weather is glorious again today.

Hope knees and thumbs get better soon.

Hope you have a safe journey home Busy.

Wintersong, shouldn't worry too much about the sambucus, mine came with the house and I prune it every year to make sure it stays thinned out and not too tall.  It does produce dappled shade but it's quite light.

Just planning to enjoy the garden today and maybe pot on a few seedlings if they need it.

I am going up to yorkshire for a couple of days with a friend to stay at her daughters.  We have tickets for the Harrogate show tomorrow and then plan to visit Harlow Car on Friday (which will include a trip to Betty's Tearoom yipee!).

Off to make me a cuppa, I like to wander round the garden with a cuppa before I really start the day.

The sun's been hidden by some thick cloud again here, and it's turned quite chilly again - even indoors - I'm trying hard not to put the heating on image

Just come inside for a hot cross bun and a cup of tea.  It's lovely and warm out there this morning.

Have been weeding the borders and potted on my cosmos Daydream.  All seedlings potted on now and not a speck of room left in the greenhouse.

My Canna Durban has started to sprout Yipee, just Shanandoah left now.  Fingers crossed.

Have sent a couple of emails out to suppliers re none showing Agasache Blue Boa, Helianthus Lemon Queen and Geum Lady Strathenden.  Will keep you posted re how I get on.  It could be that I am just impatient but everything else is romping away.
