Don't know about 'midgets' GWRS - although there's a few of them about as well.....
Lesley - keep it under your hat - we can't have these southerners coming up here, climbing our hills, eating our raspberries and smoked salmon....
I hear Cornwall's lovely this time of year - very quiet and no traffic jams on the way there either ....
Naughty Fairy
Seriously - July and August is probably the worst time GWRS. It also depends whether they like you or not! I'm not too bothered by them but I don't have to be out in the evening near trees and water when they're at their worst, although returning from a walk in Glen Lochay recently, the parking area is under a few trees and when I opened the car door about 9 million went straight in. Had to have both windows open on the way home to try and flush them out!
The idea of wearing one of those netty hoods depresses me Topbird. Horrible.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thanks for the top comments re OH's bacon butties.
He's quietly flattered.
I won't tell him about Serrano ham.
I had a bacon and brie sarnie for my lunch too
Always fry one side of the top of the sarnie for added crunch and naughtiness

No fairygirl, don't send them to the west country.
The whole area is sinking with the weight of caravans and campervans.
I don't really have an issue with caravans Hosta...it's the two thousand other ones parked next to you that are the problem...
Worse when you're stuck behind them on a narrow road

or a load of them because they can't overtake each other. They form packs. grr
doesn't it drive you mad that someone decided to paint over slate in the first place?
I feel the same about painted brick.
Bet they look great jo. I love a piece of slate. bit crunchy though...
Hosta - a convoy of caravanners...
But it makes me laugh when I see them sitting in a layby having a picnic - 10 feet from the road! What's that about!
