Rb I'll blame you if I put on weight because of not walking round the tableimageimage.  Well done and your view is amazingimage

  • Afternoon all,

Been busy making jams all week end, including foraging for the fruit. Shadow happy cos meant extra long walks, although extra baths too cos it's been a bit wet. Anyone any idea how long blackberry & apple jam will keep, Delia says just a month. image

Going to get more weeding done later, dry now but ground soft so hope not too much like hard labour.

Also managed to catch up on GBBO, like it but do think they are asking lot of the poor bakers this year.

Off on a walk with Shadow first, found new one with a nice lake halfway so he gets a swim, love to watch the big fish jumping too, sure there are sharks in there.image

Good afternoon to all, catch you later. image

    Hi everyone!

DD, my understanding is that if your jam is about 50:50 fruit to sugar, and it's properly sealed, it'll keep indefinitely.  Low sugar jams only keep a month and need storing in the fridge once opened.

Must have lunch, I'm starving!  Must be all this talk of Scotch pancakes, croissants and home-made jam...  image

Hmm, hot toast buttered, water in pan simmering - now he's on a tricky bit of a painting - can I slow lunch down a bit?  Just as well I hadn't put the eggs in isn't it image

127, but little prospect of any more. Favourite probably An Teallach or Sgurr Alisdair, but each one has a memory, mostly good, but I did lose a friend whilst climbing in the Highlands and somehow I don't have the same interest in climbing them now, although I still love being up there.
