Been busy making jams all week end, including foraging for the fruit. Shadow happy cos meant extra long walks, although extra baths too cos it's been a bit wet. Anyone any idea how long blackberry & apple jam will keep, Delia says just a month.
Going to get more weeding done later, dry now but ground soft so hope not too much like hard labour.
Also managed to catch up on GBBO, like it but do think they are asking lot of the poor bakers this year.
Off on a walk with Shadow first, found new one with a nice lake halfway so he gets a swim, love to watch the big fish jumping too, sure there are sharks in there.
Good afternoon to all, catch you later.

DD, my understanding is that if your jam is about 50:50 fruit to sugar, and it's properly sealed, it'll keep indefinitely. Low sugar jams only keep a month and need storing in the fridge once opened.
Must have lunch, I'm starving! Must be all this talk of Scotch pancakes, croissants and home-made jam...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Flolloping sounds good Dove - are you doing it in your new recliner by any chance?
Congrats with the pix RB
Daughter is making a pavlova later (sister is visiting tomorrow) - and I now have supplies to make scones as well... I'm going to need another couple of Munros this week never mind one
What's your tally then doc?
Good day for washing Lesley - they've been few and far between this year. I need some lunch too. I've just had a banana...will that do?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hmm, hot toast buttered, water in pan simmering - now he's on a tricky bit of a painting - can I slow lunch down a bit? Just as well I hadn't put the eggs in isn't it
Nope, not in recliner yet today Fairy - a bit overcast at the moment ... maybe later
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
127, but little prospect of any more. Favourite probably An Teallach or Sgurr Alisdair, but each one has a memory, mostly good, but I did lose a friend whilst climbing in the Highlands and somehow I don't have the same interest in climbing them now, although I still love being up there.
