First day back wasn't too bad, but why did I suggest I did my checkout training on the Thursday before Easter, one of the biggest trading days of the year?
I'm doing a whole check out session in the morning. eek.
I decided, as I was awake to go in early. They were good enough to send me home 2 hours early too and everyone was very kind and considerate re the whole knee issue.
RUNNYBEAK - glad you have a gleaming oven. Just a note of caution about oven liners. If your oven has a bottom heating element they don't usually recommend using the liners. There are certainly cases where cheaper liners have melted / fused to the oven floor & ruined the oven.
My oven does have a floor heating element but I have used the Lakeland very heavy duty liners without any problems. They can flake a bit & discolour after a few months (which they don't if the oven only has side elements) but at least they don't melt into the oven itself. They save a lot of time & make cleaning the oven floor very easy.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Hi all, enjoyed day at Ideal home show, but glad we managed to get free tickets wouldn't have wanted to pay £17 each. Very dissappionted with 'gardens'.....just 4 very small 'plots'. I had a very good wander on my own for a while, while OH had a bit of 'liquid refreshment' Good train conections there and back too.
Hello folks - lovely day - sun sparkling on the sea and I could almost see the green buds on the hawthorn hedges opening as I drove past. Ma ok but confused about what's happened. Hasn't lost her appetite - brightened up noticeably when lunch was served
Glad to hear ovens are clean, gardens tended, dogs walked and ducks are making themselves 'at home'
My gardening has been sadly neglected, but hey ho - we'll get there in the end
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
This is a quick pop in before I fall into bed exhausted.
Have been inundated with guests (all last minute bookings) and unfortunately they booked after OH had decided some DIY jobs needed doing in our bedroom and we had emptied it onto the communal landing - mad panic then to make the place look tidy and poor Charlie's room is currently very full.
OH has no sense of urgency and frequently leaves his workplace to ponder on how to best do a thing and threfore spreads plaster dust and sawdust all over house leaving me to scurry behind him with the vacuum cleaner. I have to bite my tongue as I know one wrong word and he would down tools and walk off site, so I am sharing my frustration with you all on here - I mean how long can it take smooth down some beams and fill some little holes - 4 days so far!
Ever present guests also explains my lack of posting as I have to have the dining room table clear (they have been eating breakfast & dinner) and poor laptop is shoved in a drawer out of the way.
Even more coming tomorrow, hoping by Monday the house will be our own again and the DIY project complete, please, please please.
Not had time to read back but I hope you are all OK, do know it was Lyn's mum's funeral this week, hope it went well and I hope Dove things are going ok for you too.
Right need sleep, missing you all and not sure about this working for a living lark, had got quite used to being a part-timer.

Is exactly why I will never own a B&B
poor DD all that work but its what you like doing right? (Apart from the decoration chaos of course )
Only today I told OH I'd happily live in a shed if it had the most amazing garden attached
