I'm sure Reggie will pass his assessment - hope yu do as well. he does sound a lovely dog. How can people have a puppy put down
Today I have been to hospital - all looking much better. On way home we pass a really good nursery only today we didn't pass it - bought a tree - about 8-10 foot high A Betula Silver Shadow. Waiting for it to be delivered now far too big to fall inot car
I am slowly trying to improve the far corner of the garden. Last week I (well OH really)planted a Viburnum Mareisii. Need another big shrub, a few smaller ones - must be white or variegated (suggestions?) and some infills of perennials (tall)Semi shaded and a bit dry.
Sounds typical cat DD -
Watched Poldark - good eye candy apart from the teeth- you'll see!!!
Runnybeak: the fire engine that we use the most is just over 10 metres long x 2.5 metres wide x 3.3 metres tall and weighs about 14 tonnes. Not the biggest of the fleet as you can imagine but still makes her size known when you're squeezing passed parked cars.
Matty: His original owners were moving back to their home country and presumably having Reggie (and his friend) put down must have seemed the easiest option. Thank goodness the nurse at the vets knew better than to let it happen!
Glad to hear things are looking up for you Matty. Here's hoping we get to see many more positive hospital / garden centre trips
Edd: Thanks! I think it worked! (Well I'll find out when I click submit...)
I have Norton security on my computer and twice today it has informed me that it has blocked phishing? attempts when I've been on the forum..is it just me or have others had similar?
Clari - when you've finished driving around in your firemobile can you send your kitchen cleaning explosion this way...and one for the lounge, for the bedroom oh and a couple for the bathroom too.
Matty, I've been tempted more than a few times by a silver birch, shadow sounds good. hope delivery isn't too expensive.
no gardening done but home early, swings and roundabouts, must cross fingers for better weather tomorrow.
Time to get FIL a bottle of something (thank you gift for hacking a big branch of the apple tree as OH watched on in disapproval) and then to pick son up - who incidently (for those who remember my woes of yesteryear )is actually as lovely as everyone else says now.

Delivery free, local and family run nursery. Always wanted a stark white tree and this one has long catkins as well
One more tree to go next year, so expensive to buy, had gardening tokens to use towards this one.
No gardening here today, far to miserable
