BL - my emails are playing up and I do accept PMs - I think there may be a problem with Outlook today.  Anyway, I received your email and have sent a text to your mobile number - hope you get it.  If you don't get it, yes, time and place fine - see you Thursday image

Verdun, it's been very hot here today, 33.4C a bit earlier, and very muggy.

It's the Lord Mayor's carneval parade through the city starting about now - no way am I going to stand in a crush of people in this heat - but I bet the waterslide down Rampant Horse Street is popular when it opens this evening!

Just back from HC - good show, but we melted image

Proud owners of a battered old milk churn, a double red potentilla and a gorgeous indigo agapanthus. The agapanthus was part of one of the show gardens - I asked someone (who turned out to be the designer) what it was, and enthused a bit - so he popped out the back and gave me one of his spares in return for a donation to the charity ! He said he had never seen someone so excited over a plant so couldn't let me go home without one ......isn't that sweet ! Its in a pot the size of a bucket and has flower spikes about 3 foot tall. I am a very proud and happy Chicky image

Dove, my French mobile usually works well in England, but no signal here, until I get in the car and drive down the road! So I haven't had your message! I had an email notification from GW to say I had a PM but the link didn't work! I'll click on my avatar and see if that works.image

Thanks Rb, I'll be setting off early morning to beat the rain forecast for later in the day. How nice of your neighbour to leave those roses for youimage.

    Lovely agapanthus.

Thunder and lightning for ages last night. lashed it down with rain. Got to work (old building at bottom of hill) to find stockroom had flooded. Thankfully nothing on floor so not much damage except i tneeded mopping out. The computers were OK this time. Last time there was a cloudburst, the optic cables and internet all went down for a week.

Lamb and new potatoes and our kale and broad beans for tea.

I thought Heather Watson did great last night.

Murray looks to be having a good night too.

No gardeneing at all done this week, but at least I wont have to water tonight.

    Have a good evening folks.
