  • Oh Wonky, that's awful. But snuggle down and get some rest. Hopefully you'll have water and heating tomorrow.

In the good old bad old seventies here in Norn Iron we had "workers' strikes" protesting about something or other. It was all barricades and power cuts blah blah. The birth rate shot through the roof nine months later......just sayin WW image

Hello again, have been away a few days. Had family staying for weekend, new grandson's Christening.

Also box of plug plants arrived, violas, polyanthus, forget me nots, daisies etc, so have been busy potting them up.

Hello everyone. My thoughts are with Wonky and her hubby. What a business after all their efforts to get the flat nice. I wish we could Magic a quick solution for them.

It looks a bit overcast this morning, but I haven't been out to feel the temp yet (8.50am).  I'd love some of your rain.  In answer to a couple of questions about the fire trail being overgrown, I don't know how they'll clear it. The most important thing is that the trucks can find their way through in emergency fire situations and the trails should have been kept clear before this. Hubby's fire captain will have reported the situation to those in charge and it'll be up th them to get going on making the trails safe for fire fighters to get around.  They were gone for 4 hours yesterday doing their survey.

Its fun to read about favourite singers from the 60s. We have  a TV channel on Foxtel called 'Smooth', and they play songs from many eras, so I get to remember lots of those clips.  Some of the dance movements and clothes are a scream, but hey we thought they were good at the time. I must admit Barbra Streisand was always one of my favourites.
