Dove - you must have forgotten my invite....but if I leave early I can just about make it. Not had cauliflower cheese for ages
Wouldn't want to give you my laryngitis though
OH will be well fed - hope he has a lovely birthday, and your son too Pat
Pastries sound tasty - but they'd be a bit soggy by the time they got here so I'd better give them a miss I'm secretly hoping oldest fairylet will make a few of her 'shortbready' biscuits for the Christmas tree. What a laugh we had decorating them last year in various unusual styles!
I hear Npower has been given a massive fine. Hmmm- a utility company treating customers unfairly? Who'd have thought...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning all! Well I survivec the bowling last night: even won a game! Unheard of for me I'm the one that skirts the gutters.
The volunteer of the year went down well and he seemed genuinely pleased by it all. I let the boss present it: after all it is more his job than mine. I'm sure knowing the way gossip works people will eventually realise who actually organised it. I'm just glad he "chose" the volunteer I was nominating very loudly
Off to work later to make sure things are organised for the last weekend before we close for Christmas. We must be one of the only museums that close for two weeks over Christmas! Still it means I'll have chance to enjoy my holiday and get the rest of the wallpaper stripped. You know, inbwtween emails and lesson planning.
Beautiful sunrise this morning but to my horrors... my clematis is flowering!
Just had my neighbour from up the road come round to see if I'm ok. Hubby has been trying to call me but couldn't get an answer ( the phone hasn't rung) Alive and well and having a cuppa.
Slowly slowly with your Son Runny. He's been through a major trauma , physically and mentally but from what you've said, he's a fit and strong young man, he'll get there. Warmest wishes to you all.
Had a call ( he managed to get through ) from another insurance company who have quoted £181 for next year. Just waiting for confirmation from their underwriters.

Morning All,
Mild n wet here this morning.Took a daft turn last night and did some baking. Rockbuns anyone.
Yum, Bushman, they look just the ticket. Haven't had them for years
We made rockbuns at school. Even the dog wouldn't eat them. Maybe I cooked them a bit too long.
I'm probably better in the garden than the kitchen.

Are we not getting Santa smilies this year?
