Thanks for your comments about my bumble bee photo. The honeysuckle still has leaves on the sheltered side of the bush, Chicky. One hydrangea in a sheltered spot still has leaves and flowers although the others are all bare with brown flower heads.
I watched the programme about dog food too, Lizzy. Like you didn't learn much. My 11year old German Shepherd is a bit stiff now and can't walk far now. I've tried the really expensive dog foods for a few months but the programme seemed to suggest there wasn't a great deal of difference. The raw meat diet was interesting but that had it's drawbacks with samonella. I didn't agree with feeding dogs veggie and vegan diets. The programme didn't mention why dog poo doesn't turn white anymore. That must be down to diet.
Good morning all I've been out for my stomp - the birds are singing so loudly, they must think it's spring
Busy day today - have to take the car to get tyres checked and then a trip to the GC near where I used to work - I've discovered I've got some vouchers for it that run out today!!!
Then I need to get something to cook with the whiting I bought yesterday - think we'll have Chinese leaves and ginger etc with noodles
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Oh Pam, wouldn't that be lovely - some dry ground that we could walk on
I was lying in bed last night thinking about the garlic that OH planted - have we had a cold enough snap for it to divide, or are we going to get huge single bulbs?
Chicky, yes I'll share - at the moment I'm torn between practicality - more seed trays and seed compost - or allowing myself to be seduced by a plant?

Pottie Pam. White poo, as I was told, was due to dogs eat a bone heavy diet, with dogs eating more meat and veggies you're less likely to find it.
My family have an elderly German Shepherd - the best thing to have kept her mobile seems to be glucosamine chews! You can tell if she's missed a few as she can't climb on the sofa. In fact it makes such a difference to her I started taking the human form (the chews don't smell great!) To help With my own joint problems!
Dove, I've been wondering about the garlic too. I've got plenty dug in but I fear they'll all be singles unless the weather remembers we'd like some dry and frosty.
Brought myself some barbour wellingtons last night as they were on sale. OH was meant to be getting me some for Christmas but he struggled to find any my size!

Have fun at the GC Dove - remember to share your purchases here. I like virtual shopping - especially when someone else is paying
