I can't get over you all still being awake. Usually I don't hear anything until later in the day. Good news Wonky! Best wishes Hosta for scan. I've got my Dr appt tomorrow Wednesday and have been trying not to think bad things for the past week. I've still got to be careful what I eat - such a nuisance. Hubby has decided I should be taken into town this morning to get out of the house - not exactly looking forward to it because the heat is starting to build up.(10.30). Never mind, the car is air conditioned, so it'll be ok. And he can park underneath at Coles, unlike at Woolworths which is out in the sun. Have a good sleep everyone.
Back from town. Tha day is hot and extremly windy - yuk. Took a photo of the Malus floribunda at the end of our road to cheer you all up.
This is near the school (Which is under threat of closure because of low numbers). That will mean that parents will have to get the remaining kids into town and back every day 50 km return trip morning and afternoon. I think the Education Department are very short sighted. It will also, I think, lower the real estate values in the village if there is no longer a primary school. Who would be silly enough to move out here if you have to transport your kids a long way to school. I'm glad mine are adults. One of my gripes!
Dark and wet out and I've not been out into the garden in my pjs and slippers to check the hedgehog bowls and thermometer ........ I'll do that later.
Glad to hear you kicked British Gas into action Wonky - that's my girl!!! Hope you both got some restful sleep and that lovely hub's plans for today go smoothly, and that you come home from work to a nicely fitted kitchen ...... don't suppose landlord has organised the new flooring yet?
Pat, that blossom looks lovely. Hope you get good news from the doctor - fingers are crossed here ((hugs)). I remember from my childhood listening to stories from Australia about children getting their schooling over the radio. We lived in a very rural area of the UK and there were only 13 children in our school and we had a lot of our lessons over the radio too - we felt we had a bond with those children in the Outback. Eventually our little school was closed and we had to be bussed to the one in the next village, but it was only a few miles - not like the distances in Australia.
Hosta - hope the MRI scan goes well and they can get you sorted out swiftly! ((hugs))
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
He'll Dove. I was hoping you would be up,and about early.
My Aunty was a school of the air teacher it was called Blackfriars. Interesting that your little school had to close as well as these ones in this district.
Hopefully, Wonky will get sorted out soon and of course, Hosta.
