I certainly remember the 60's.   I left school at 15,  started work, got married, had a baby and got a mortgage.   Way to much for a young girl to cope with, but I did.

Me too, not quit in that order though image

Hosta, ...Hope your scan goes well, good weather for the drive up the hopefully, it's not till later isn't it? So may see you on here.

i am off to Cornwall for the day, visiting daughter, she only has three little dears today, two sweet little girls and a baby boy. May visit a garden centre, usually do.

Hello again all. My appointment is for Wednesday afternoon, so I'll let you know late tomorrow.

SGLily, that's a tricky question. Are you hanging it inside a conservatory or outside? There are lots of lovely ornamental ivies but are best confined to hanging baskets And mine are never really happy in winter.  Love the planter.

  • Hi Pat, its for outside. I'm going to fill it with pansies but wanted to have a few trailing plants too. Just wondered if there was anything other than ivy.

Dove, hope you don't have to wait too long.

Lily perhaps variegated periwinkle, vinca minor illumination would work.  No flowers but bright leaves during the winter.  I think Inread somewhere about trailing violas too.  Lovely basketimage

LilyP I'm still hopping about but it's manageable for most of the day.  Thanks for asking.  Did you get all the old fence posts out in the rain?  Not much fun.

Lizzie, sorry to hear about OH's Auntie.  A very good age but she'll be missed.  Glad the Christening went well and that you had a lovely time with the family.

Right, back from bank, shopping list written - just remembered to put toaster on the list - ours died this week -  string bags put into backpack -  15 minutes until bus arrives virtually outside my door so 10 minutes to noodle on here ..........
