OH brought me a cuppa in bed at 8.30. Ouch, that's hot I thought. I'll just close my eyes for 5 mins whilst it cools. Woke up 2 hours later.

Call the Midwife, Poldark, Indian summers....all ok but couldn't we have some boxing on in between?  imageimage

    .......

There was plenty of that in Poldark !!! image

Don't they have a Hospital Car service down your way Verdun?  When you take the patient today you could make some enquiries at Reception, explaining that you have 'other committments' and cannot always be relied upon to be available and the last thing you want to do is to let someone down image

Ah, this looks like what your neighbour needs http://www.ageuk.org.uk/cornwall/how-we-can-help/community-transport/

  • Afternoon all,

Finally got to look in after returning from hols and dealing with the aftermath (unpacking, washing, food shopping etc.).

Had a good time but very hectic, weather was kind though and cat and dog survived their separate holiday care too. Shadow is exhausted, been staying with two very lively little friends, a poodle and a scottie, apparently they played together all day everyday. He came home to his own bed and hasn't moved much since. image

The cat also managed the cat flap whilst we weren't here but last night got me up at 2:30am to let him out. image

Weather beautiful here, garden has come alive so off out to inspect, bit of weeding and sow some seeds too.

Will catch up later. Good afternoon to all. image

Oh. I thought I had commented to Verdun regarding this television programme and positively littered my post with witty comments, clever remarks, and fire engines but I can't see it.

Rain is coming down heavily now. I've rushed out and put all my greenhouse pots along the path for a free watering. I really ought be cleaning the kitchen. I'm thinking a small explosion might be the only way to get that room organised. There is half a car interior in the lounge, a gearbox in the kitchen, and a selection of tools in the hallway... no wonder his ManShed is so tidy! image

I've not actually watched it yet Verdun! Nor have I recorded it so thank goodness for that joys of Iplayer. I am (like most television programmes) usually late to the party so will no doubt catch up later. (This is where I made the joke about how I'm only early to a party when I'm driving the fire engine and that's because I get nervous I'll have to parallel park it so always try to bag the best space!)

Waiting for the kettle to boil. Does anyone want a hot drink?

Welcome back DD. Where did you go?

Talking of boxing, if Verdun's head gets much bigger from all the admiration his ears will need boxing!

We went out as OH wanted some bits and pieces from the DIY shop and he really fancies pizza tonight and I needed stuff to make it with. Bought some more seed packets in supermarket.
