Good morning all and congratulations to 'Baby Fairy'
Lots of luck to Wonky this morning - hope the rain has freshed things up without bashing anything down
But get out there and check for slugs and snails - this is just the sort of morning they go on the rampage
The storms were very noisy here - wonder if son got any sleep - he was supposed to be helping erect teepees for a festival yesterday afternoon, I presume he was going to sleep in one last night
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good morning Dove, got up at 5.45, so blocked up I couldnt breath - honey and lemon, filled up water butts in veg plot. Was out gardening, planting etc. at 9 last night, only time its cool enough. Had a tiny spit of rain on Friday, one far away clap of thunder. My friend at work, said it was definitely going to rain all day Friday I, said if it did I would go outside naked, dance and take a pic to prove it, So that was OK then, didnt have to bother to get undressed!!!! Was a toss up between the garden, and a huge pile of ironing last night, so still got to do that. Taking the dog on the beach soon, see if that will help clear my nose.
Feeling OK, thanks Fairygirl, just suddenly bunged up on Wednesday, dont know if its a "summer cold", cannot smell all the lovelly smelly stuff I grew this year!! The Nicotinia are flowering. What sort of cake (not that I am fussy) I made a banana last week, I I always use butter , had run out, used up some Flora Light, it is sticky, shame I didnt put in dried fruit, nearly did, it will be OK warmed up and served with cream or custard. Its a bit like a bread pudding!!! Send to rain to me, what area are you in?
Now know what it's like to spend the night in a metal bin with someone thumping a stick on the side and somebody else switching a light on / off / on / off... Absolutely cracking storm here in the wee hours - amazing lightning show, very noisy - went on a long time.
Garden looks a bit bashed this morning but nothing an hour or so with the secateurs won't sort out and I won't need to water this weekend - double hurrahs!
Best of luck today WW - you have made such a difference in your garden & many congrats to Lily - seem to be grand children popping up all over the place at the moment
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Topbird grandchildren dont pop up, they pop out!!!! Ah, yes, the metal bin with someone hitting it with a stick and switching lights on and off, so that where my old neighbours moved to!!!!

Wasn't me Edd. I might be getting old but I've not succumbed to mould or fungus...yet

Couldn't sleep. Might have to get a cuppa
Congratulations lily. Hope all concerned are doing well. Hugs all round!
