    Morning all.

Lovely neighbours BM. Horses are usually gentle animals, it's just their size that makes them scarey! Loved that link, Dove. Those big ones are usually the gentlest of all.

    More sunshine.

A friend had a 3 year old Shire x gelding called Kelly - her 4 year old son was quite used to being put up on him bareback when we were getting the horses in from the field in the afternoon and he usually just held onto a handful of mane and was fine, but one day the boy was being silly (as they do - I'd never have put my son up there) and he slipped and slithered down Kelly's shoulder and landed just where Kelly was about to put his hoof ......................... Kelly froze with his hoof in the air and didn't move until Mum had rushed around and grabbed her child.  Such a sensible horse image

Ponies are much more trouble than horses in my experience image

Must be spring here. A magpie is collecting twigs. A bumble bee is bouncing off the window. Lots of bulbs pushing through. Lots of mess to tidy up. The pond is full of frogs.  I'm off to a 80th birthday party today, so I'm not going to get much done.

  • Apologies for being so late just out of bed and first cup of tea in hand, have I missed anything?

Weather here overcast 13C sea calm, will be in the garden ASAP but will get dressed firstimage
