    Wedding is in early October.

I'm still having trouble with my sisters over table decorations. I am having garden flowers in conical copper jugs.  They do not agree with me.

They did like the vase of sweet peas I had last weekend. They agreed they would be OK.

If I plant sweet pea seeds at the base of the currently flowering plants, will they still be flowering in October. ? I expect current batch to be over by then.

Fidget, I think the copper jugs sound lovely. It's your wedding, you have what you want. Bet your sisters would have their choice even if you didn't like their ideas.

Totally agree with the others fidget. Why do other people always want to railroad someone else's event? image

Nothing to lose re the sweet peas - I was very late sowing mine (it was cold here and they would have just sat sulking anyway) and they're about 6 " now and ready to put into bigger pots. I'd expect them to crack on enough to flower later in the summer. I'd give it a go image

Good morning, up at 5.30, outside doing a bit of checking, moving plants.  Yviestevie, have always been scared of the dentist since nasty school dentist mr Goldie, and being held out in a chair to have teeth removed (because of overcrowding) at about 8.  Married to first Hubby moved to london, couldnt get NHSDentists, one chap name of Ivor Immanuel (yes, really!!) accused me of being an alcoholic because I was shaking, found in those days, 70s, before they even looked in your mouth, as soon as you told them how many yearsi t was since you had been, was told every filling needed replacing.  Moved, had a hole in middle front tooth, (no pain) oldest daughter made friends with another girl at school, Mum was a Dental Nurse, went off to her Dentist, armed with Valium, prescribed by Dentist, she was my Dentist from l975 -l999, when she retired to look after her Mother, stayed with the practice till 2012. (Moved house) Looked after my teeth, it was always "clear rounds". |Moved, broke a large back double eating grainery roll, complicated extraction followed by complications, back to square one.  Knew I needed front tooth filling re-done, (it has been there since l975!!) Desided to go private (no, havent told Hubby!!!!) Found a Dentist who specialises in cowards!! Had my filling, will need a crown, and another filling, ( its been there over 40 years). Was hoping to go to Hampton Court today, but married someone with agoraphobia (and other multiple mental health problems) he booked A/L, was waiting. Got talking to the Dentist (as you do!) She told me her Hubby had very serious OCD, had had CBT which was marvelous, havent had chance to speak to mine, (course he doesnt know I have been to the Dentist, yet!) Said to him when I got up, I was putting his work stuff on to wash (economy 7) mentioned there wasnt much stuff.  Then he came out and found me in the garden, asked why I was washing his work stuff, when he needed it to go to work, told him he was on holiday, claims he told me he cancelled it. He did not, I would not have "forgotten" he wasnt on Holiday, so am gutted really, watching it on TV course,, gorgeous weather this year, while doing the ironing. At friend here is having implants costing £25K I nearly passed out!!!  So is the £4K for one implant?  I am sure a lot of us with be with you on this one. What about a before and after shot?

    Good morning all image

Lovely day in the city with Wonky yesterday, shopping, lunch at Carluccio's, she had a hairdo, she bought me a lovely frock (I chose it, she insisted on payingimage) then back here to collect plants, pots and Dyson, then took her back to Ipswich, had a quick 10 mins looking at her garden and then back again here to flollop on the sofa.

Only a tiny drop of rain all day and nothing overnight, and this morning we have bright blue skies image

I've been very lucky with dentists image

Now I'd better find out what everyone else got up to yesterday ...

Morning people - sun here image

Loads of rain last night but no thunder - I think. Pouring when I went to get new camera at about 6 pm. Great for my new grass seed image

Anyone watching the tennis? Nadal's match was incredible - I recorded it because I was out. Sad to see him out though but it was a superb match.

Off to work soon so hope everyone has a good day. image

    Good morningimage.

Gorgeous morning here too, though we had a few torrential downpours last night.  All my new plantings are well watered in and ready to romp away - I hope.  Some shopping to do this morning so will be looking for air conditioned shops.

Sounds as though you had a lovely day Dove.

    Have a good day everyoneimage

Morning Fairygirl, why is a new camera good for grass seed then???  Spit of rain yesterday, one clap of thunder (sounded a long way off)  JUst cleared lounge floor, borrowed youngest daughters all singing dancing carpet shampooer, while weather is hot for it to dry (I bought it for her last year) blasted things must be blocked somehwhere, no water coming out. NOT happy!!!  Hate tennis, luckily, because its far too nice to be indoors watching it.
