    Afternoon...image

Glad everyone's had a great weekend and most have the appearance of spring in their gardens. YAY

Well, another weekend of shifts finished for me, OH has a full evening of sport and is on holiday this coming week so we are already discussing jobs to be doneimage

Don't worry, I won't work him too hard, but I do need to make some compost bins out of old pallets. I have at least half a dozen stacked down the bottom of my garden with more to come with this year's garden delivery, so no shortage, but can anyone tell me their experiences with make compost bins from old pallets? I was worried that the dimensions would be too large for what my garden produces and the compost would look a bit silly in all that space (although, I do have more plants than ever this year and I'm getting a shredder next week as well, so I anticipate making more this year)

Yesterday was very busy at the bakery and I managed to bake nearly £500 worth of productsimage (that's £60 more than usual) gosh, what a hungry lot in my neck of the woods! And it's even worse in the summer months with all those BBQs going onimage

It's been a beautiful sunny day here and although there has been wind, the helpful kind that dries soil nicelyimage

    Going to eat now, TTFN

Wintersong - our back  garden is about 12m x 12m and the front garden about a quarter of that.  We have two 1m x 1m wooden compost heaps and could do with another one.

I resemble that remark Dove.  I most certainly am as beautiful as Angharad Rees. Same Celtic origins too...

I'll tell OH, I'm sure he'll be hugely relieved and will look forward to the programme image

I won the first skirmish of the bramble battle - remains to be seen whether it will have been enough to win the warimage.  My pipecleaners came from a craft shop and so if you look closely there is now a kaleidescope (?spelling) of coloured fluffy bits sticking out of the butchered bramble stems.  Good job the only person who looks closely round here is moiimage.  Lovely and sunny - saw a butterfly and a bumble bee buzzing round my crocusesimage

    Hi everyone,

Glad to hear from you OL, thought you had deserted us.

Didn't see the snowdrops as Dudmaston held their snowdrop walk last weekendimage so didn't go.  Popped into town to fetch my new glasses and went to see my friend for a coffee. Later I visited mum and went to see Secondborn. So I have had a busy day even though I didn't get any gardening done.  I did however notice that I've sneaked a new plant from next door. My neighbour had a lovely purple clematis that draped over the fence and I pegged a bit down.  I now have a new baby clematis - yay nothing like a free plant.

Weather was Ok this morning but now it's a mixture of rain and sleet so definitely an evening in front of the fire.  Nanna duty tomorrow so I have to be up relatively early and sort out my singing voice for Rhythm and Rhyme.

Decided that I need a couple of clematis to grow up the obelisks with the roses and have chosen Cartmanii Avalanche from Taylors so two are on order and hopefully will be delivered on Wednesday, they flower in April May so should extend the season nicely.

Sounds like lots of you had a very busy day in the garden so hope not too many aches and pains out there.
