Morning all! Good to catch up on some of your latest news - keep posting folks, it's great morning reading!
Have been in London for a university reunion with ex-flatmates - 30 years since graduation... am feeling extremely old.. esp after several hours yesterday spent weeding in the backgreen.. my tiny veg patch in particular is still looking rather pathetic.. heyho that'll be today's job..
ps: does anyone know why my cats (all 3 of them), have started to get up at 4.30ish for breakfast - eh? wot's that about? - i know they have not been very blessed in the brains department, but really, this is nonsense!?!?!?!!!!
I like the name Susie too. Good luck with her today, Mattie.
I woke up with sore throat at 5am, took Ibuprofen and went back to sleep. Feels better now but don't know that I should visit new grandson. Thank you all for the congratulations.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all....just, haven't just got up, been weeding in the garden since 9.15
Sorry to hear about your relatives poor health Verdun, best wishes for good news and recovery, such times do put our priorities in order and make us reassess our woes, kindest thoughts
Congratulations on the anniversary of the meeting of your soulmate Hosta! Bloody marvelous ain't it!
Matty! We want doggie news and pictures and I also think Suzie is a sweet name! When we rescued Harriet I hated the name cuz or a very affected girl at uni, so we changed her name to Harrison, still Harrie for short so she knows no difference! didn't want to unsettle her further, she is timid as it is, didn't want identity crisis!
Hope all that feel I'll, get better soon, pets and gardeners alike!
Hope all that are tired get a good crest and looking after!
Hello folks - I'm back from a trip into the city, hair improved - a bit Sassoon/Quant-ish and new underpinnings purchased
It's still really overcast and a bit chilly here - I think I'm going to turn this afternoon into a knitting in front of the telly sort of an afternoon after I've had some lunch and prepped supper
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Been to art class this morning - don't think I'll be exhibiting any time soon, but it's very relaxing... and because I'm retired, I CAN!
Weather's bright and warmish, and I'd intended to do some work on the bank behind the house, but there's a parcel being delivered this afternoon & I won't hear the doorbell. Might have to cut my losses & do some h....w..k instead
Ah well...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Flippin chilly here Verdun! Grey and overcast and 14C but feels much cooler - I've just put a very thick woolly cardi on - if it wasn't June I'd have the central heating on!!!
Give my love to Burncoose - we had a lovely day there just pottering around and looking at things a couple of years ago - it's where my Hosta Stained Glass came from - we were staying in a cottage just around the corner.
If I remember correctly they do a very nice cuppa in their little café too
