Yes I am glad you popped in chicky. Raised a smile on a dull day. Nice to see you at lunchtime too Fairy. Always goosegogs to me too. (Why did ipad think I meant Google fogs?).
Matty what a shame the poor little dog hasn't been housetrained. It must be harder for a dog to learn as they get older. Patience will get you there in the end. Our first dog was fairly average, the second took six months, and our present one was clean in a week. Probably no such thing as average.
The midges are having a quick break so I may pop out while the builders (who have been suffering all morning) have gone to lunch.
I do tend to get a queue when I ask family who wants a jar of jam. I suspect I can find homes for them. I could always use them as favours at the wedding.
I have planted some more cosmos, and replanted the nepeta that was just coming through that I accidentally dug up. Maximilian sunflowers are just starting to grow as well. I thought I had lost them.
Ooooh, shes gorgeous! We have a Phalene, leo hes 9, had a 17 year old Border Collie put in sleep in January yours looks like a border collie, always wanted a red, our last was black/white, the one before blue merl.Is she a rescue? have you had dogs before?
Got back from 2 nights works, (2 days away) not sure if Hubby watered, everything is in a bad way!!! One of my watering cans is no-where to be seen, wonder if its blown somewhere in the wind, cannot find it.Maybe 2 hours sleep since Sunday night
P. Pam, new mothers are kept in hospital in France for 3 - 4 days. They like the milk to come through and baby to start putting on weight before going home. They have breast feeding nurses to help and breast feeding is encouraged. My daughters and DILs have been happy with this. DIL should go home tomorrow evening or Friday. It's her 2nd baby. My son is working (dentist) but they have a child minder and her parents are staying. We've just been to visit. Baby is much less crumpled looking than he was on Monday! The hospital photographer came.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Lovely day here spent in the garden, deadheading and tidying up. Everying is so georgeous at the moment. Hubby is outside at the moment trying to mend our garden table and chairs. Time was I would have just bought a new one but early retirement does have it's disadvantages.
Always called them goosgogs here too, had a couple of bushes in the garden when I was growing up and used to love gooseberry crumble and custard. Better go and see if Hubby wants a cuppa otherwise he'll go on strike.
Wow! I'm away for 24 hours and so much has happened!
Best wishes to all! Sounds like Piping is settling in and I'm sure the other end will too in no time Matty! I do sympathise as Flatters isn't happy unless he plays shoelace on a stick for two hours a day! Invest in a thermal mug for that tea!
Had a job interview that I thought I didn't want but now I think I do, find out Friday went for pub lunch in the legendary Laxfield Low House, my home village pub with papa womble, adnams beer battered brie with port and cranberry sauce and gorgeous salad and chunky bread and butter
Papa womble and wife have now become interested in having a nice garden. So minimal gardening but looks very nice, so got a tour as they wanted to show off not bad at all and some lovely hostas.
Have a lovely evening all, snooze then garden for me

I have had her 1 day, about 2 years old - photo on page 2181
Of all the garden she could choose, she walked over my cutting flower bed
Having a quick look inmy lunch hour too chicky - great poem
Goosegogs here too - although my parents would never have eaten or grown them - far too 'continental' ...
Hope all going well LP
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
