Hosta, have you got any 'Vanish'? Or a small handfull of washing powder on the soiled part ........put sheet in water and put the powder on the blood stain let it soak for awhile......only get the powder slightly wet. You may have to do it a couple of times. Try rubbing the material together after soaking too.
Hosta, I'd give it a soak with Ariel Bio then an ordinary NOT HOT wash.
I'm back from Wonky's and OH has fed me and is now washing up and making me a decaff. I think Wonky and I will both sleep well tonight. She and her lovely hub will still be in their old place tonight as Wonky's landlord visited today and it seems that the move can take place over a slightly longer time-frame as the landlord's electrician and plumber have work to do to bring the new flat up to standard - I may be helping tomorrow or I may go on Saturday - Wonky and I will decide tomorrow morning
It was amazing today - there was an old cooker in the garden shed and a dead washing machine in the kitchen of the new flat - they were carried out to the kerb and within 10 mins a chap was knocking on the door asking if he could take them for scrap - in 15 mins they were gone along with some other stuff that was going to be thrown away - it would have taken time and money for us to get rid of them
Now I'd better find out what you lot have been up to today - if I can stay awake ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Wonky's garden is a riot of colour - ok so it needs a bit of weeding but she's been really really busy - one of the volunteers did some weeding, some deadheading and harvested cherry tomatoes for her while he was waiting for his piece of cake

I use Ariel Bio for blood, as Dove said. It digests proteins. I pour neat Ariel onto the stains, leave for a bit then soak for a few hours before washing, but not in very hot water which will cook the stain in.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

all white and virginal like me.
It's on the duvet cover, the pillow and the flat sheet.
He's home tomorrow afternoon. Maybe I should leave him to deal with it?
He'll phone later , so might suggest it.
Wish me luck
