Good luck Chicky. I hope tree surgeon gets there first. Don't let your OH anywhere near it.

Thanks all for your thoughts - so far all those positive vibes have kept it upright, and the winds have subsided a bit, so fingers crossed.

Above is a picture of the bottom half of the beast - to the right of the magnolia.  As you can see, not exaggerating its size I'm afraid.  At the very right is our garden shed, to put it into a bit of perspective. And in the middle of the magnolia is a telegraph pole.

Chicky, have you ever thought of offering it to NASA?  Looks like it might reach Mars before they do image

I said I wasn't good with measurements - on reflection I am not sure 5 storeys does it justice !

    Evening all.

Chicky, hope the tree stays upright tonight. The magnolia looks amazing though imageHope it makes it through unscathed too.

Been a quiet day here, weather has been atrocious image Made some leek and potato soup and dyed my dressing gown green! Just settling down to watch Sherlock image and quietly wishing I had taken the next two days off work! Urgh, don't want to get up tomorrow image

  • You'll be fine Panda. I felt exactly the same Sunday night knowing I had to go back to work Monday. I really didn't want to go in, but once I got there it wasn't so bad. I'm sure you have friends at your work place and you can all chat about the xmas and new year festivitiesimage And in two days its the weekend again yay!!  Put that smile in your pocket, you'll be ok, love and hugs xx  image
