  • Hello to those of you have arrived since I got up earlier image

Well, there I was yesterday, surrounded by unwrapped presents, wrapping paper, sticky tape etc, and with not a decoration put up yet, and MIL phoned to say can she pop over for the day?

Well, of course she can ... it'll be lovely to see her ... good job I bought a small piece of rolled beef rib yesterday - as I've been trying to empty the freezer there were no apple pies in there, so OH brought one of the locally 'home made' ones back from work with him (MIL does like an apple pie) and a big pot of cream. I told her to bring her nightie and toothbrush and stay the night but she says she'll go home about 4ish, however, I'll run the hoover round the spare bedroom and give the bathroom a wipe over, just in case.

Strange things going on in the garden last night - the wind got up and blew some plastic pots around - so far ok- but this morning the large piece of terracotta pot that I keep in the birdbath for the smaller birds so the water's not so deep was not in the birdbath but laying as if carefully placed at it's base next to the 'pillar' and a big plastic trug with water in was the right way up next to the birdbath - it was not there when I was in the garden late yesterday afternoon - it was over by the compost bins, and had roughly the same amount of water in it as is there this morning!!!

Most peculiar!  Did you lot have a party in my garden last night, and if so why didn't you invite me??????? image

Strange repeats happening on my iPad. Don't know of its me or the system. Sorry if I'm repeating myself.

I managed to assemble and decorate our tree today. I think we'll have to buy a better one for next Christmas, it's looking rather old and drab. I might pick one up at the end of season sales

Ive had a full day socialising with friends and only now had a chance to read posts. I forgot to photograph Hubby's cheesecake before we took it to our friends place, sorry about that, but we missed out on a taste ourselves because we left before they got around to cutting it!  Best not to think about the missed lovely lemony taste at this time of night.

Time for bed now, so will hopefully be back to normal tomorrow.  Night allimage
