Lovely dog matty. I hope she settles in well and the cats dont terrorise her.
I am watching Mr T screwing artificial plants to someone elses house wall, by drilling holes in it. While its all very laudable, if I was the neighbour, I would be out there telling him to leave my house wall alone.
Sorry to hear of your news Verdun. I hope he is OK.
Matty Pippin looks a real cutie.
Congrats Hosta, enjoy your evening and raise a glass.
Fidget you made me laugh re someone else's house. My friend came home to find her neighbour had put up two brackets and hung his ladders on the side of her house. I just can't believe the cheek of some people. He seemed really put out when she told him to take them down.
Had a nice day today with Mabel, have been out and watered the garden, will get out there tomorrow hopefully and get some deadheading done, need to feed the clematis and roses too.
Been weeding and sorting, nothing of any consequence but surely must all count.
Did manage to get some jam made and also 'looked' at the ironing, but walked away. Really wasn't ready for it.
Decided on brownies for the school fete, seemed like a good plan, thank you Lily.
Congratulations Hosta - and Dove - 20 years, mine will be lucky if he lasts that long, we are on 11 and I am already having my doubts.
Hope Pippin settles in overnight, remember Shadow crying for nights because he wasn't allowed upstairs. He is well settled now though and dare I say it seems to have got over his interest in sheep.
Have registered myself today to do a half marathon on a very fancy viaduct here in France, only just recovered from the 12k last Sunday but I do like a challenge, have a good few months to train and the whole running club are going so I am hoping for a lot of team camaraderie etc. Please remind me later that at the time I thought it was a good idea - just like the Open Garden - will I ever learn?
Well good night all, need my sleep, from tomorrow have a full house plus school fete on Saturday and of course the Big Day on Sunday.

Lovely jam, and lovely name 'Pippin'. There's a Pippin next door - it's a cat whose life was saved by OH when it had a bone stuck in its throat - occasionally it comes into our garden and once killed a wood pigeon! I'm sure Matty's Pippin is much nicer and better behaved
I've been sitting here for half an hour listening to a song thrush - he's gone off to hunt for snails now
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Oldest fairy loved watching Auntie Mabel and Pippin when she was little (Come Outside) The name always reminds me of the endless times she watched it! Happy days
Off to work in a few mins. Catch up later - have a lovely day and don't work too hard...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Perhaps Mr T. asked permission first.
I expect Pippin is feeling very relieved.
I've weeded the long border, watered the veggie garden and made redcurrant cordial today.
Good evening all, finally sat down.
