Quick hello from me, I'm running late too image

Tucked up inland its very hard to imagine that less than 100 miles away peoples homes are being washed away and Christmases ruined. I hope you're all keeping safe and that the public rally around with funds to help the RNLI and Red Cross help those that need it here as well as those still struggling across the world.

Son in law has gone to check on his elderly mother as her house near Ipswich Waterfront is surrounded by floodwater, although it hasn't reached her home.   Good job he's 6'6",

I've just heard that the 1953 Flood Level at the Harbour Inn Southwold has been exceeded!!!  http://www.harbourinnsouthwold.co.uk/.

Thank goodness we were forewarned this time - we complain about the Met Office forecasts - I think we sometimes forget how far this science has come in 60 years!

Dove, not good. I thought from our news reports that things had calmed. Better wash my ears out. Glad Son & DIL were fine, bet you were very worried.

  • Hi KEF image - I think the problem is going to be that the floods won't go down until the tidal surges stop, and there's two more forecast.

Isn't it amazing - our Rattan designing friend tells us that you can make virtually anything out of rattan, but when  I asked if he could make a birdbox he got all upset image

    Morning all.

Boiler for radiators and the water heater not working. Had a power cut last night. Water heater says it needs more water. Bother. At least we have 2 woodburners.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
