Morning all, Yes Chicky, what are the pipecleaners for?

Verdun I hope you have had your frockcoat and three cornered hat spruced up for the occasion.

I loved the original Poldark, Ross was a bit of a dish and so was Dr Ennis.

Lovely and sunny here but still very blowy.  Haven't got any gardening planned but I may be going out on a Snowdrop walk in Shropshire (if I can remember the name of the place) Oh yes Dudmaston Hall I think it is.

Hope all poorly peeps are feeling better.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Mornings everyone, just popping by for a quick hello and to let you all know I haven't forgotten you.  I hope you are all well.  Spring is well and truly on its way now and I'm looking forward to plenty of gardening.  The business is going well it just seems I am always busy, which is why I haven't been around.

My snowdrops and Hellebores are beautiful and crocus are flowering too image

    Happy Sunday everyone image x

Good to see you OL - glad the business is going wellimage

Pipecleaners are a tip from edd - a way of getting the SBK into the stem of the hacked down bramble without having to spray it on the azaleas that they are growing through. I tried it about 6 weeks ago, and the results are looking good - so time to tackle the main patch.

    Good morningimage

Pleased to 'see' you OL (can't think of you as SL yet)image.  Glad to hear that the business is doing well and that you have found time to appreciate your flowersimage

Thought you had taken up pipe smoking chickyimage.  Brambles are a pain in more ways than one so I will remember that tip for when the weather is a bit better and I start to tackle mine.

It's really windy this morning and there have been a few sleet showers.  Spring is not quite here yet.  A bit more pricking out on the kitchen table is my idea of a nice Sunday jobimage.  I'm reusing some old plant labels and the 'magic eraser' sponge is perfect for cleaning them off.  Everybody probably knows that already but I'm feeling pleased with myself for finding outimage

Hope everyone has a good day.  SYL.

    Morning all.

    Snowing here.

Just had a tree surgeon in to look at some of the damaged trees, from the Boxing day snow. I have done all the bits I can do, but some of the trees need to come down completely.

I have had some very bad experiences with tree surgeons in the past, and have also looked after some of the resulting damage that can happen to the surgeons themselves.

This bloke seemed very knowledgeable, and will make me some nice log piles, in the wilder parts of the garden.

    Have a lovely day.

I've sown the in those trays bedding plants come in. The size of half seed tray with 12 modules in each.

Dove glad you had a good sleep. What a difference it makes eh?

Morning all. Son, DIL and baby have arrived for lunch, to see daughter (and Granny me). Daughter's friend still here. She's lovely, very smiley, has emptied the dishwasher.

We are having roast pork with honey and mustard and apple crumble, like RunnyBeak, for pudding.

Raining. Wonder where DD is going, did she say? Did I miss it?

We watched the old Poldark last winter. Look forward to the new.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
