Baby is cute, but like a baby, but not very like his 13 month brother was. When I arrived son and baby were asleep, DIL and I went for a drink on the hospital terrace by the café. DIL said she was too excited to be tired. It was an easy birth and she had an epidural. She'd still been up all night though.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Evening all. Still awake (just!) And alas its rained far too much to have been a constructive day outside. We did at least get the bedroom deep cleaned (wardrobes in the hallway and bed dragged out).
By we... Reggie "helped".
V.e.t.s wasn't fun: always hilarious to have a nurse judging his behaviour when you point out his hates the v.e.t.s. and w.o.m.e.n. of course he's not going to be an angel!!
BL - just picked up on this - welcome to new baby - how lovely!!!
Builder has repaired cracked ridge tiles and other bits and pieces. He'll come back on Wednesday to rub down and paint the garage door - then I think we're all done for the time being.
We've had heavy showers on and off all day so as well as a sausage and egg pie I made some salmon, prawn and chive tarts as. well - we've had some for supper - now a glass of sauv. blanc is going down nicely
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
How lovely BL Hope Mum is doing well and you had a nice time with baby. I was quite relieved to read he was a baby....."Baby is cute but like a baby"....
Can I come to your open day DD? How long will it take me to get there? Dundee cake, scones and shortbread...yum yum. Are you really Scottish?
Hope all is fine with your dil LP. Always a bit of a worry if things aren't 100%.
I've been feeding, watering and tidying - outside housework really. Also a bit of deadheading - I enjoy that when the weather's reasonably pleasant. Good for stress
Shopping done and dinner eaten. Feet up now and sorting photos and having a swift catch up here.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
