    Yay chicky - what's sprouted?   I'm giving long distance instructions to OH and just hope for the best.  I did start too early but think I'll learn one of these daysimage

    KEF if you eat enough Geezers you'll  get over your addiction, hum - doesn't Work with chocolate, crusty bread or plants (I don't eat the plants)

    Just ate a bag of geezers, and very nice they were too.  Will have a think about the obelisk situation, not really sure what to do.

    Yvie - about the obelisk.  I've been thinking too and if you could get the metal spikes to hammer into the ground and attach wires it should be ok. (omg I live in a wind tunnel in Scotland). I will try it and let you know.

    I had a metal arch that fell down after a few years, nothing to do with the two clematis busy growing up it but the feet rotted in the ground. Just my experience image if its any help Yvie.

    my advice would be to sort something sooner rather than laterimage
