    Good morning all.

Tigger ate some breakfast this morning, fish and rice again - all he's touch at the moment. Vet hospital this afternoon. Thanks for the cheese tip Lyn, but he isn't a cheese sort of dog. He loves bread and butter, not usually allowed, so I squidge tablets, like his wormer, into bread and butter, but yesterday he was so off food it didn't work.

-5° this morning - but we have sun image

Gosh, Lily, you have been busy this morning. I've only done the bathroom.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • A BT engineer plugged his gizmo into my incoming socket, announced " the fault is 122 metres away", left for 20 minutes and returned to say he had found a corroded thin gummy and suddenly I had reasonably good speeds, for this area. He also advised me , if I ever needed to reboot the wifi, to click on the icon at the top of your screen, rather than at the router or plug.Doing the latter loses all the information the system builds up from your usage.

  • Good morning all,

Hope all are well. It's really cold so not planning to do any gardening today. I ordered 2 collections of  shrubs from Leadthegoodlife so I potted them up yesterday. they were a bargain at £10 for ten shrubs. Fairly small but had a good root system .

I hope Tigger is okay Lizzy. My elderly German Shepherd went off his food a month ago.  I usually feed him on tinned meat and biscuits. I bought a bag of frozen free flow tripe and pour boiling water on and mix with his complete dog biscuits. It absolutely stinks but he loves it. Now he's looking for his dinner whereas before I was feeding him by hand to encourage him to eat.

Thanks Verdun & Woody image I know there isn't anything wrong inside the house the line and sockets have been checked even though EE have insisted they are sending out another router image Without being too boring there is a drop wire that needs removing from the star wiring outside it is giving priority to the phone line and increasingly slowing down the broadband, it was wrongly installed. I hear Verdun shouting compo image

After being image I can laugh at how someone in India can flick a switch and increase the download speed from 0.28mbps yes that's all it was to 8.06 , however being only half a mile from the exchange we should have 15meg unless EE are capping it, which the call centre seemed unwilling to discussimage

We will see what happens on Monday but we aren't paying, and the engineer goes up his ladder before setting foot inside. image

Prised myself from the sofa and had a shower.  Just been for a walk around the garden and really pleased that so far all of the plants I moved or ordered new last year are coming up.  The Aconitum is making an appearance as are all the Alliums.  I'm just charging my camera as I have a plant that I'm sure I didn't put in that has appeared in a couple of places and I could do with some advice on what it is.

I'm updated my plant inventory at the moment 'Geek' I hear you all scream.  I know, I know, but I like to know where everything is as I have a lot that hibernate in the winter.

I almost needed therapy after my dealings with sky/virgin during my last house move.  Six weeks of no internet and my job was based at a home office.  Did get compensation but they took it off my bills rather than cash.  I'm sure I could get a cheaper deal by moving again but I just can't stand the hassle.  Mind you I do suggest it to them occasionally and I usually get something out of staying, I think last time it was free movies for 6 months. See I'm learning Verdun.
