Chicky - I love Crambe in a border, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't like our shallow gritty soil full of tree roots - I'm trying to find something that'll give that 'airy cloud' feel that would be happy in the new island bed I'm planning for next year (you heard it here first folks!!!image)

About to plaster my ears with Factor 30 sunscreen.  They haven't seen the light of day for many years...  image

    Morning all.

Strawberry Tea day today, so very busy, expecting over 40. It's in aid of Cancer Support France, a charity that helps English ex-pats in France who have cancer. http://www.cancersupportfrance.org/  Must go and make 50 scones.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Glorious Morning here, though I feel like I'm in the eye of a hurricane as its walls of blackness in the distance in every direction..

Morning all! image sounds like the sun is sharing itself around now and more of you are logging appearances of unidentified spherical object in sky, its OK I've called Mulder and Scully!

Picked up a couple of echinacea from poundland yesterday, man broke off a leaf when scanning it so 50p each, think I should have haggled?! image

Look after those freshly exposed ears Liri,  they will be dozy after coming out of hibernation! image

    Morning all.

Flippin' worn out this morning so I think a day of pottering and potting  on in the tunnels is in order to-day.

Chicky I had a wonderful Crambe in my last garden on sandy soil which used to self seed about .

I've got one to plant out in this garden when I have time.

Enjoy your weekend one and all.

    Devon.

hi all, been AWOL again for a few days, back nowimage. I've not caught up so hope all is well. Hoping to get in the garden today - tidying up only, strictly no GC , no rearranging, no planning! Must must must stick to a plan...but so many distractions from the mundane...does the path really need weeding and the empty pots stacking out of sight when I could cut a new shape for the border or get some cannas from the GCimage
