    Downpour now stopped - had a good half inch of much-needed rain this morning.  Off now to help aged mum move into semi-managed accomodation from her council flat.  She already has three friends at the new place after suffering a string of 'bad' neighbours at her council flat, so will be a lot happer and less stressed I hope! image

    Stopped raining here OH attacking 3 conifers ..no nests in them image

    Hosta, courgettes you are harvesting at the same time as my friends in Crete image mine are planted out and have a few tiny ones one. 

    Bought pizza tonight & salad, with my lettuce, rocket and radishes image

    Best go supervise OH don't want the Kerria butchering I want some privacy until I re-plant that area.

    Home at lastimage.  The weather seems to consist of fast moving showers, unless it was me passing through them fastimage.  OH has looked after the plants well with only a quarter looking poorlyimage.  He's done well with the dog and son thoughimage.

    I like the sound of that brandy Wonkyimage.  My Dad sent OH a bottle of Courvoisier to thank him for letting me go there whenever neededimage.  As if he would complainimage.

    Bob I hope the move goes well and that your Mum is happy in her new home.  It will save you a lot of worryimage.

    Lizzie - good luck tomorrow and have a fantastic time in NY.  I'm in aweimage.  Sorry - that was me trying to singimage.

    Thank you Lesley. I can't sing. OH is in 2 choirs.

    Have made a big fruit cake for tomorrow. Have had 6 offers of cakes. Expecting 42.

    G.pigs hutch cleaned out again as is their day house an old Wendy house that I have to clamber into image One had a sore foot and need vet's attention recently so now no saw dust on the floor lined with newspaper and a fluffy blanket  ...please give blankets a shake every couple of days image Yeah !!! Had to dry them out in their GH everyday..the blankets not the pigs image Well at least I have pig poop for my Daleks.

    Suns out and the first of the Lupins has opened - a yellow variety - Chandelier- Only problem is they look rather lost and out of time with the rest of that bed. Oh well at least they match the buttercups in the next field

    Evening all, back from sunny cornwall, drive home was a Nightmare! left at 10.15 this morning and got home at 5.45.  image

    As we left the heavens opened so well done Verdun for keeping the rain at bay until we started home.

    Haven't read back but hope everyone is OK.
