    Morning all.

Woke up at 7 : OH made a pot of tea. Had a couple of cuppas in bed, then, amazingly fell asleep, which virtually never happens.

Woke up 1/2 hour ago to hear the rain pounding down, quite torrential but I'm sure the garden will lap it up.

Liri - I remember proddy rugs - they were very common in farmworker's cottages in Suffolk when I was a child.  I've a vague idea of how to make them as I watched it being done, but I'd love to learn properly.

I used to co-ordinate the Norfolk Open Studios, and we had a fantastic local artist and rugmaker in the event http://www.yvonneautie.co.uk/ - I could go to her classes, but so much to do and so little time - where does all the stuff come from that's filling up my retirement days? imageimage

Just picked the first courgette of the season.

Maybe summer will arrive at some point?

Announcement from Dove HQ - lawnmowing postponed - I'd forgotten that I needed to make a tandoori marinade for supper - now I've done that and hung some washing out there's menacing black clouds heading this way and it's turning chilly.  I shall be a brave Dove and do some hwk instead image

Hosta - picking courgettes???  My plants still only have a couple of proper leaves and are hiding in the little greenhouse.  I only potted them on yesterday!!!  You lot live in tropical climes

I maligned them Hosta, I've just checked - they have four and a half leaves each image

Well, the rain's spattering on the window now so it's definitely hwk for the next little while - when I've drunk my coffee image

Just lugged the posh bits home from sainsburys, bottle of honey brandy fell into my trolley but was free as it was covered by my nectar point collection! Months worth of cat food, coffee, brown sugar, Darjeeling, very heavy!image and started raining on the way home! image thank goodness for my trusty baseball cap!

Oh, Dove! Shouting at my pots of soil worked! image  One tiny shoot! image
