    Hi Everyone,

I had Clematis Armandii at my last house and it was in a very exposed spot and didn't seem to suffer any damage at all.  We even had over a foot of snow and it didn't bother it.

I have bought a number of Clematis from Taylors and always been impressed.  I will have a look at Raymond Evisons and see what goodies they have.

Spent a good portion of today gossiping with my friend, now back home and lighting the fire.  I'm  freeeeeeeezing.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands

No Dove, the window cleaner has just finishedimage. You're not having the best of days today with things going wrong - if it's three now then you're okimage

I can't wait to go and look up clematis armandii.  I've been buying seeds, bulbs and little supermarket plants and have no idea where they are all goingimage.  Nearly everything mentioned on this site appeals (apart from the pests) and I've really got to think seriously or be on the breadline.  Umm crusty bread .. image

Just realised it's the 6th today and Beaus should be connected.  Don't tell me that broadband wasn't delivered on the day promisedimage

How was the pony today DD?  From the look of the lake on camera corner ice needed breaking today.  Hope your friend enjoys her lemon drizzle cake when you visit tomorrowimage.  There are at least three people round here who have fallen and broken arms and wristsimage.  I am getting so careful when I walk on icy paths that I must look like an old lady though I'm only 27 (and a few bits).

Oh Runnybeak that's awful! I helped at a farm that had geese, they were terrifying buggers truth be told but were so clever and did a better job of rounding up both the SHEEP, the SHEEP DOG, the RAM,and the HENS than any sheep dog / person could ever do! I understand what you mean by half human. They have such characters. I guess the fox must have caught him by surprise. image

Verdun I'm so pleased that today went well.  You will feel exhausted tonight.  Your Mum would be proud of the send off you gave her and will be at peace.  Hugs xx.

Rb, so sorry to hear of your goose's sorry end.  He sounds as though he was a real character.  Most of us owning pets can't claim to have had them with us for so long.  I really feel for you.

You may remember my Border Collie, Tigger, who I took to the vet on Monday for an upset tummy. I've been very worried about him. He's still not eating properly, nothing today, not even home cooked fish. Couldn't get his second antibiotic down him. Have just taken him to the local vet, again, who has booked him into the vet hospital in Thiviers tomorrow. He's lost a lot of weight. Vet says his heart isn't too good and he's worried about his liver.

I'm so sorry about your goose, Runnybeak. That's why I don't have ducks anymore.I didn't know geese could reach 16, that's much longer than hens.

I'm glad the funeral went well, Verdun, but funerals are always stressful. I got in touch with my cousin again thanks to my mother's funeral.
