  • Evening all.

Finally ot my delivery of Sunflower Seeds from RSPB so been out refilling the poor birdies feeders. Gooseberry bushes are doing ok for once, Raspberries are thinking about flowering. Only other thing in bloom at the moment is the Aquillegias and Holly bushes (though you'd have to get close to notice). Cetranthus Ruber is beginning to show flower buds, so fingers crossed. Still very few Bees around. Everytime we get a few on the wing, we get a few days of solid rain that knocks them back.

    Afternoon image

Sunny day but breezy. Not done much gardening except watering pots and what went on my merry-go-round earlier in the year. Not feeling well again, woke up with a temperature that tablets aren't dealing with so I'm relaxing in bed with Now TV at my command.

Hope all are having a good day image

Found Mum walking unaided when I visited this morning - the first time she hasn't needed an arm to lean on since her fall.  image  She's very slow and rather stiff, but the pain seems to have gone.  And she called me by my name, something she's not done for months.

Flying showers here, but I'm trying to get the strawberry net organised before we go away on Monday.  It seems to have developed holes in storage.  (Extra big ones, I mean.  Yes, I do realise strawberry net is supposed to have holes in...  image)  Perhaps we've had a mouse in the shed?

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Lovely day here, 23°. Been cleaning garden furniture for my charity Strawberry Tea on Saturday.

Also went to Supermarket, bought lots of dog food as we are going to New York next week. Housesitter coming. OH's choir has been invited to sing in Carnegie Hall.

OH has been in England, he's now on a train, I must go and pick him up soon.
