Morning all, Lovely and sunny here at the moment but we have had lots of rain overnight. Not much planned for today apart from visiting mum this afternoon.
Feeling a bit washed out and tired today as not sleeping well but as my 5metres of capilliary matting has arrived I might cut it into strips later. Also have some seeds to sow if I can wake up a bit. Hope everyone has a lovely day.
All B&B jobs done. Mexican chocolate cake just out of the oven, tasted a little bit of the edge that broke off, thought at first just like any other chocolate cake and then got a very nice little bit of the chilli taste afterwards - interesting.
Anyway, dog to walk and chilli and lime salmon to prepare as well as enchilladas. Pool party might have to be relocated to dining room too s it's a bit soggy out there so far.
Have a good day all.

Tonight I cooked American style ribs with maple syrup, chilli, mustard, tomato paste, etc. I'd forgotten how much we liked this recipe. I'd written on it "1999 good", just so we'd remember. Just as well. How time flies.
Jo, these two concerts were called "The Who 30 years of maximum R&B" and "The Who quadrophenia live in London". Lots of background vision of strange scenes and images to support the music. I can't begin to tell you the fight I've just had with the spell checker doing this! Ha ha.
Not surprised that you're wilting a bit Yvie as you've had, and still have, lots to contend with. Be kind to yourself and don't overdo it.
Jo if I was getting presents like that during the night I think I would keep the bedroom door shut. On the other hand you are there to rescue them. I've a funny feeling we won't get a bogof for the trees.
Wonky, enjoy the wedding. Hope your OH and the weather improve as the day goes on.
Pat I'm sure I've seen those programmes before, but was probably dozing a bit too
Hope the wildebeest left you plent of manure Pdoc and that a bit of restaking is all that's required.
I'm not sure " dozing" is the right word, but I get your meaning - they are rather loud and energetic.
You've reminded me of something I found today when you commented on Pdoc's garden damage. I found a young shrub that we planted a couple on months ago that had obviously had a heavy kangaroo foot (or two) stand on it. The branches were splayed out flat. They've now got a stake or three holding the remnants in firm embrace.

Wonky - we have sunshine and white fluffies here - hope it spreads south and the sun shines on the bride and groom
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Sunshine and white flurries, Dove? It's been chucking down all morning here.

Also got sent this rather nice Courgette Cake recipe this morning, have sampled the taster cake - very nice indeed. http://chezfoti.com/2012/07/28/courgette-cake-with-homemade-lemon-curd/

Morning all. Just
Last night went very well. Chef friend had seconds, so he must have been happy.
Hubby is putting out the empties as we speak. I'm sure someone must have left some empty wine bottles in the utility room when we weren't looking
Friends left at 2am. Not long out of bed and methinks it's going to be a lazy one to-day.
Rain overnight but sunny, partly cloudy and , as ever, breezy .
Enjoy weekend, baby parties, wedding et al.
Hugs for poorly peeps .
