Pat E , o/h bought me Dec G/W Magerzine , only buy the odd one now , at one time subscribed but cancelled when got allottment as gardening sort of changed , had a quick look thought , always interesting and always like Alan T article on back page
Sorry, but I have come on here to moan again, please don't get too annoyed.
The bad luck seems to just keep coming. Yesterday we found out my SIL has got thyroid cancer and then OH decided she would clear some leaves for me and has managed to lose a bracelet that I bought her on our wedding day.
Anyway I need to try and pull myself together to try and support OH. She wants me to go to London, so that I can find out what is going on regarding the thyroid cancer.
I may not feel like posting much at the moment, but reading about your daily lives does seem to help.
Wish you all well, especially the ill and injured and those who are caring for them.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Quick check in to say hello. Sun is shining so might try to have a spell in the garden.
Long day yesterday at a Pensions Seminar at Heathrow. Head was buzzing a bit with facts and figures but no nasty surprises and pleased to say we seemed to be ahead of the game in terms of knowing what to expect / tax doodahs etc.
The M25 was a nightmare both ways - have no idea how people cope with that on a daily basis. It used to be bad enough when I had to travel into Leeds from York on The A64 but that was just volume of traffic rather than some of the idiotic an dangerous driving we saw yesterday including several people clearly texting whilst driving
Glad to hear knee braces seem to be working for the tennis players and walkers amongst us - might be worth considering. Usually ok on the flat but coming down big hills starting to be problematic.
Enjoy your hols Hosta - have a G&T in the sun for me
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
