When I had a very severe 'black dog' 12 odd years ago now I was told to walk. So I rescued, from an animal shelter my lovely Oscar.(He was 2 years old)
I always said I am not sure who rescued who but often felt he saved my life, and Oh agreed. Now Oscar has left a big emptiness in my life so when I am up and running again hopefully I will find a new companion
Can definitely recommend a dog to 'rescue you'
Go for it puncdoc - take the plunge/deep breath/ poop bag whatever and go for it
Lovely hellebores Matty. I've spent the afternoon looking at plant porn, which has resulted in me adding a fair few to my wish list. I will not buy any.... I will not buy any.... I will not buy any...
Hi everyone, read back through the day's news and agree with everything that was said and everyone who said it
Sometimes, my tired brain can't keep up but well done to BM for a successful house move, DD for surviving the night and Matty for making good progress in your convalescence!
What a shame for BL's sump garden I do hope it makes a full recovery!
And most importantly, congratulations to Reggie for his smart choice of owner. Now he can rest assured of getting the best love and attention along with so very sensible training
I was bitten twice in my life, both times by German Shepperds and both occasions it was the owner's fault, not the dogs! Well, nothing serious since I'm still here. Reggie is adorable and looks really smart too.
Hopefully, spam-pictures in the coming weeks will weaken punkdoc to the idea
Did try to say good morning but my Internet didn't want to play ball and deleted my post just as I was finishing So I dozed off Not that I am only just awake now! Have been up for ages Looking at the miserable weather
Lovely chat about dogs, am allergic so they are out of the question for me.

Good day All
Lovely dog, Reggie. How did you find him. I'm sure you will have a lovely time with him, he looks very bright with those shiney eyes
had a slow alk round garden - well I can't do much else, and fed birds
Took picture, not brilliant as couldn't get low enough.
I just love hellebores but haven't very many and my white ones seem to have gone somewhere else this year
I have snowdrop envy! Mean to plant some every year, but never get round to it somehow
Sorry you had such a rubbish day DD! Surely youve had your share of bad luck for a while now
Congrats on the new plants and bulbs you bored folks have been buying!
Khan is gorgeous too, never had a shepherd, but love them
Ah go on p'doc, im sure theres a little friend just waiting for you in an animal shelter, what breed would you have, or dont you mind?
Lovely helebores Matty.
Agree with Beckie and Ruunybeak, Punkdoc. Just the thing to chase 'the black dog' away.

Have a great evening everyone
P.S It just snowed here!
The south of England officially has snow, although its not sticking, it was big and fluffy on its way down and plenty falling
Just for Pdoc
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
