Arabella sounds as if she's going to be very happy with you Liri! we had an absolute downpour here all evening so I'm nipping down there in the morning! I needed an excuse to get another Belgium bun anyway and two a day is just greedy?! Right?
Oh dear! I've got all left behind again. My last post I said I was taking Matty to the airport and we took her yesterday and there have been pages here since.
After dropping Matty we went to a huge GC on the outskirts of Bordeaux, but they didn't have the rose or the clematis I wanted. Then we spent ages looking around Ikea and bought a few household things and some food. Got home just in time for Chelsea.
Tomorrow a gardening club from Poitou Charente are coming to look around my garden, about 40 of them.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
It was a nearby wren that woke me up. How does such a tiny bird make such a big noise?. Haven't seen or heard a thrush for a long time. Hope time flies till you're home again Hosta.
Have a good day with your garden visitors Lizzie.
Right, one more coffee and I'll hit the road. SYL.
Someone has to do it Does your Waitrose sell garden plants? Ours does, and they're not terribly good at looking after them - maybe you could issue some general guidance/be in overall charge of such things?
I suppose I should clarify, when I say they're not terribly good at looking after them - they're better than B&Q and Homebase - just not as good as you or I would be.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It breaks my heart to see lovely Box cones and balls reduced to dried up wrecks.
I told them when they introduced it that i wasn't interested because I knew they'd not be looked after in my absence. Tins of beans will survive neglect, but living plants are different. Although I got 2 Japanese maples for £3.99 each when the leaves fell off last Autumn. They're stunning now.
