Afternoon/evening gang I am back following a lovely holiday Would have been in touch but no wifi at the cottage and poor signal in Aldeburgh Have been back for a couple of hours and would have commented sooner, but it's taken me till now to catch up with you all
Re job, well. . . . . I received my confirmation call on Tuesday and accepted the job I then got another call the next day offering me the other job (disaster interview) . I told them I wanted to think about it and could he confirm it in an email and ring me tomorrow. Having had a big think and a chat with OH and friends I accepted the second offer Seems jobs are like buses, don't have one for ages and then two come along at once I then rang the first people, apologised and thanked then for the offer but I would be turning them down. Felt bad, but this kind of thing must happen all the time Not sure of starting date yet, will keep you all posted
Glad to see you have all, on the whole, been ok without me
Hi Panda, good to see you. Glad you had a lovely hols.
Great you were offered both jobs.......told you it might not have been as bad as it seemed I'm sure you've made the right choice.......didn't you say the people were nicer.......that goes a long way.....remember the other lot you worked with!
So very pleased for you Panda, great news. Very best wishes as always x
Welcome back Panda. Your holiday seems to have gone very quickly to me so it must have flown for you. Great news with the two job offers - well done.
Glad your Ma was ok Dove. It truly is a 'lovely home' when the staff are so helpful. Re Desert Orchid's snot I'm with lily. I met Orchid Lady and she didn't do that. Hope you look in from time to time OL. Expect you are still working long hours.
Lovely to hear about your crows Jo. It's really special that they still come to you
Gosh - all these royal meets. I've seen a few of them but never actually met one.
Welcome back Panda! Hope you had a lovely holiday!
Congratulations on being two times successful! x
Actually been in the garden today! Chilly but bright for a while. Reduced foliage on out of control dahlias to encourage blooming with possible sun later given everything a good weeding, still more to do tho! Lidl had some great bulbs and six packs fell in my trolley as I took a corner too fast mixed daffodils and Narcissus, crocus, tulips etc 2 packs for 3 quid so had to buy in pairs u understand!
Pdoc, our guy on our bonfire was Tony Blair.....don't spose that counts tho, think he should have felt more privileged to meet you! but the princess Di bit...very impressed!
Tried to get ahead with cooking for weekday meals...Moroccan lamb smells so good its gonna have to be dinner! just as well I made lots!
Hey Dove just so glad to be able to grab some time to do want I want instead of what I have to! Made good use of the time in the garden today, basement cleaning tomorrow! there were sheets of cobwebs twelve years old when I went down the other night! Felt like Indiana Jones!
Hopefully you might have good weather tomorrow so you can get out in the garden too! Night Ma x

Evening all.
I also met Bob Marley, on a separate occasion from Pavarotti.
A friend of mine ( opera critic ) interviewed Pavarotti at his home in Modena.
Punkdoc, I agree about Diana being gorgeous and I'm a fully paid up old poof.
She was fond of us lot , bless'er.
Friends ( who had BBQ ) came round earlier . They left with a car boot full of plants and tomatoes.
Still half the weekend left folks. Make the most of it.
Panda!!! Wowzer!!!
I know how much that means to you - brilliant news ((hugs))
Hello Wonky - you'll make me
There's a bit of weeding to do here before we go away ........ but it's so wet out there.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
