Just sat down - at last although to be fair an easy day for me, just SM shop and then quick flick with the duster and vacuum, got the i******g out of the way and then spent the rest of the afternoon cooking and baking. We had a lovely fish pie for tea, I have juggled the Jamie Oliver recipe with Paul Hollywood's and have come up with a very satisfying creation. Hope I can remember what I did for next time. Fruit for mincemeat is mixed and soaking ready to be finished tomorrow and a delightful Mary Berry Lemon Meringue is just cooling slightly, ready to be enjoyed with SCD.
Nor exactly baking but Charlie and I also made some Christmas decorations out of sliced bread, sounds disgusting but actually quite effective. Cut star shapes out of the bread, left them to dry and then paint and decorate with glitter. It kept us both occupied for a while anyway, we are going to sell them at the school Xmas Fair along with our knitted Ferrero Rocher cosies. All helps with the school funds.
Have a lovely evening all and poorly people take care, well wishes all round.

Lemon meringue sounds lovely DD - any to spare? and fish pie
Separate plates though please
Told big fairylet that I'd collect her after work and take her back to Uni for the 48 hour marathon game designing/playing bunfight. I may regret offering but shouldn't be too late. At least I won't be getting up too early for walking
LP - re your multiple posts - you're not 100% so we'll let you off with it
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Lilly: I hope the pain is settling now. I wont bombard you with the many many suggestions of things I use to keep my chronic pain from consuming me; your brain need not ache along with the rest of you.
But please do remember DON'T WAIT FOR IT TO HIT 10/10 BEFORE CALLING FOR HELP. In the nicest possible way you're going to be waiting for help to arrive AND it is so much easier to get your pain under control at a "lower level" than it is when its completely out of control.
Been AWOL for a few days as felt a bit gloomy, visit from mother Dove cheered me up to presentable standards again
Runny, I've been reading your news and can't imagine how you and your family must be feeling through this! Sending you strength and hugs, you sound a really close family that rally's round when needed! Best wishes to you all x
Glad your boiler is fixed Kef! I was worried for you there for a while! I've just been through heating issues and it wasn't as cold as it is now! Glad its sorted!

Been lovely having Dove over, she doodled a potential plan for her treeless area in the garden which looks a lovely idea so I'm looking forward to seeing it taking shape!
Hosta and Hostas OH have a lovely warm holiday!
Chicken, spinich and chickpea korma simmering, chicken stock bubbling for butternut squash soup for lunches next week, hubby grinding damp paint from brick walls in basement with angle grinder, time for a feet up me thinks!
Made mincemeat this afternoon, then made first course, salmon pate, and prepared the veg for lunch tomorrow. 8 of us after church, including the vicar.
It's got very cold, think there will be a frost tomorrow.
