Yes, Yviestevie , I'll go along withnthatvthought. Today wasn't bad at all - sunny but a cool breeze. Just how I like it.

Punkdoc, very sorry about your OHs job. Hope something better turns up for her. I can recommend retirement.

too tired to send more tonight, so I'll say goodnight and catch people tomorrow. Roll on Sunday.image

    Hugs to Runnybeak.

Was busy this morning booking flights for completion of the cottage in December.

Then we went to an English run Christmas Fair near Riberac. It was fun. I bought a Christmas pudding, haven't made one this year. Had BLT sarnie for lunch, nice back bacon from England, can't buy it here. Also had mulled wine.image

Just back in from the garden, boy was it cold.  Have tidied up a bit and potted those primroses.  Hubby is going to drag the last couple of pots down the garden to a more sheltered spot before tonight, wonder if we'll get a frost didn't last night.  Didn't get the bulbs planted thoughimage

Nice hot shower and now catching up on some TV while eating a bacon butty.

Catching up on the tennis after a brisk walk to get some carrots for soup, and a short spell in the garden.  Will be away walking tomorrow so got a few things done that needed attention. The temp crept up to three or four so it wasn't too bad as long as I was moving about.

Passed two large yews on my walk - covered in gorgeous red berries. They must have been around thirty feet. Never really noticed them before, but I rarely walk along that road. Birds were enjoying them image

RB - I know you can't divulge info, but it clearly needs proper investigation, so hopefully that's what will happen. I think I can safely say we're all thinking of you and hope your son gets the result needed.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • Hello folks!    Back home after visit to Wonky - we had an amble around her garden between the showers - she's got so many flowers blooming away.  Winter flowering jasmine, violets, a gorgeous deep pink salvia (Wendy's Wish?) that lovely new choisya the name of which I've forgotten - and Climbing Rose 'Mermaid' is covered with blooms.

Pdoc - sorry to hear about OH's job - I hope that a silver lining reveals itself very soon ((hugs)).

Runnybeak - best wishes to your son for a very quick recovery - it seems he is very popular with his workmates and friends - they will stand him in good stead when he begins to be up and about. image

Jolly chilly outside, it started to sleet just as I got home, and now there are huge black clouds rolling in - Brrrrrrrrr!!!
